- 영한 : 시행착오

- 영영 : a process in which you find out the best way to solve a problem, do something, etc., by trying different ways until one is successful

- 활용 : by trial and error(시행착오를 거쳐), undergo trial and error(시행착오를 겪다.)

- 예문 : 

Every achievement requires trial and error. 
모든 성취는 시행 착오를 거친다.

Vicky: Okay. Do you need any help?
비키: 알았어요. 뭐 도와드릴까요?

Clay: No thanks. I think I can handle it by myself.
클레이: 됐다. 혼자 할 수 있을 것 같아.

Vicky: Where did you learn to build stuff?
비키: 가구 만드는 건 어디서 배우셨어요?

Clay: My father taught me some things and trial and error taught me the rest.
클레이: 우리 아버지가 몇 가지 가르쳐주셨고 나머지는 시행착오를 거쳐 배웠다.
