Exposition Young  Ae  Yi   (du 11 avril au 9 juin 2013) Young  Ae  Yi   par   Didier  Cornu   Depuis   son   atelier d'artiste, Young   Ae   distille   un   antidote   universel,   une  imagerie  d'un optimisme  radical,  de  celui  qui  sait  mesurer  la  souffrance.  Young  Ae  connait  l'équilibre du monde,   oscillant   entre   rires   et   larmes,   entre   drames   et   comédies.   Nourrie   par   ses  expériences  intimes,  Young  Ae  allie,  et  livre,  dans  ses oeuvres, l'innocence des  départs,  une prise  d'image  libératrice,  la  sagesse  de  celle  qui  a  déjà  vu,  et  l'habileté de  l'artiste‐né.  Grâce  à   un   espace   visuel   perceptible, l'espoir   est   de   mise.  C'est un   manifeste   qui   nous   est  proposé  par  Young  Ae.   D'une représentation  candide,  venant  de  la  culture  manga,  celui‐ci  ne  craint  pas  le  dérisoire  de  sa  vocation;  redonner  de l'espoir et  faire  rêver.  Et  pour  cette mission  de   la   plus   haute   importance,   salutaire   pour   une   planète   enferrée   dans   la  sinistrose,  pour  tous  les  patients  en  attente,  quoi  de  plus  véloce  que  des  chevaux  au  galop,  les  messagers  de  Young  Ae  survolant  l'artiste bleu,  quoi  de  plus  apaisant  que  leur  repos,  à l'ombre soleil  ? Avec  des  grands  formats,  construits  comme  des  histoires,  Young  Ae  nous  entraine  dans  un  conte  aux  couleurs  chaudes  et  vibrantes.  Chaque  élément  des  tableaux,  couleurs,  chevaux  blancs,  efflorescence  en  papier  sculpté,  trouve  leur  place  dans  un  équilibre  parfait.

다른 나라와 마찬가지로 이영애 작가의 나라엔 선하거나 악한 사람들, 울거나 웃는 사람들이 살고 있다. 사람들은 어려운 시련을 돌파하기 위해 친구에게 의지한다. 예술가로서 아틀리에 작업을 계속해왔던 이영애 작가는 본인의 천성적인 낙관주의가 스며든 판화를 통해 이 세상에 만연한 고통을 제어할 수 있는 해독제를 전 세계에 선사한다. 작가는 희극과 비극, 웃음과 눈물 사이를 진동시키며 이 세상의 균형을 잡는 방법을 알고 있다.  작가의 내면세계에 배어든 경험의 자양분으로 그녀의 작품 속에서 출발의 순수함과, 상상하는 자유주의자로서의 발판과, 이미 어디선가 본듯한 지혜와 타고난 예술가로서의 기교와 연대하여 자유를 얻는다. 감각을 통해 얻을 수 있는 시각적 공간 덕분에 희망을 불어넣어 준다. 이영애작가는 바로 이 명백한 사실을 우리에게 제안하고 있다. 만화에서 비롯된 천진스러움의 재현이랄까, 그 분명함은 사람들에게 희망을 부여하고 꿈을 꾸게 하는 이상 그녀의 소명에 대한 냉소조차 두려워하지 않는다. 그리고 가장 고결한 중요성이 내포된 사명을 위해, 비관주의가 팽배한 이 지옥 같은 혹성에 등장한 유익한 존재로써, 그녀를 기다리는 모든 환자들을 위해, 게다가 영애의 희망을 전달하는 메신저로서 푸른 지구의 대기 위를 날아다니며 도약하는 말들보다 더 민첩한 그 어떤 것이 존재할 것이며, 태양의 진한 그림자 속에서 휴식을 취하는 이들에게 그보다 더 위로가 되는 진정제가 어디 있을 것인가? 마치 역사를 서술해 나가듯이 제작한 대형 작품을 통해 작가는 우리를 따사롭고 감동의 파장을 주는 색채를 지닌 동화의 세계로 안내한다. 화면에 등장하는 각각의 요소, 즉 색채와 흰색 말들 그리고 만개된 꽃 같은 종이 부조 등은 완벽하게 균형을 이루며 그들만의 고유한 위치에 자리잡고 있다. 관객들은 그녀의 릴리프 작품들의 부드러움과 데생의 생생함에 스스로 빠져들어 마침내 ‘행복 이상의 상태’에 이를 것이다.

YOUNG AE YI est née en 1961 à Séoul, en Corée du Sud. Actuellement, elle vit, et crée au quotidien, à Incheon, grande ville portuaire de la mer Jaune. Fille célèbre magicien, et par trois fois maman, Young Ae a déjà plusieurs carrières à son actif. Après des études supérieures à Catholique de Séoul, en parallèle à maternelle. Ce fût de ses enfants, Young Ae Yi enseigna en pour Young Ae de dispenser son amour des beaux arts auprès jeune public, un public en devenir, toujours prêt à mettre les mains dans les couleurs. Depuis plusieurs années, Young Ae se consacre entièrement à son art. De la pointe sèche à poétique du traditionnel papier coréen, son travail artistique a été maintes fois primé, reconnu par ses pairs, couru et aimé par un public de tout âge, coréen et international.
