Case No. 191 假章(가장)은 거짓으로 문장을 속여서 꾸미는 것이다.   "Gajang(假章,가장 - fabrication)" refers to deceitfully altering and making up a text with lies. 붓을 잡은 사람이 글을 희롱하고 글씨를 바꾸어 터무니 없는 사실로 어질고 성량한 사람을 모함하며 모진 것을 권하여 착함과 약함을 뒤집어 버려, 길과 흉이 자리를 바꾸게 된다.  When a person holding a brush(a writer) toys with words and alters the writing,   they slander benevolent and good-natured people with groundless fabrications.   By promoting cruelty, they overturn goodness and vulnerability,   causing good forune and misfortune to swap places(reversing right and wrong). 한 사람을 속이고 한세상을 속이니 하늘이 반드시 용납하지 않을 것이니 하물며 이같이 될 것인가?  Deceiving a single person leads to deceiving the entire world;   Heaven will surely never tolerate this, so how could anyone dare to act in such a manner?  [Original Text, 원문] 假章者는 假托文章而欺也라 (가장자는 가탁문장이기야라)   "Gajang(假章,가장 - fabrication)" means falsely using text to deceive others. 秉筆者는 弄文換墨하여 (병필자는 농문환묵하여)  Those who hold the brush(writers) toy with words and alter the ink, 捏陷賢良하고 慫慂凶獰하여 (날함현량하고 종용흉령하여)  Framing the wise and virtuous with groundless fabrications, and instigating vicious cruelty, 善惡을 顚倒하며 吉凶이 易地라 (선악을 전도하며 길흉이 역지라)  They subvert good and evil, and cause good fortune and misfortune to swap places. 欺一人하며 欺一世하니 (기일인하며 기일세하니)  By deceiving a single oerson, they ultimately deceive the entire world. 天必不容이온 況于斯哉아 (천필불용이온 황우사재아.)  Heaven will surely never tolerate this;   how much less aould anyone endure[the divine retribution of] acting in this manner?  [Explanation, 풀이] 善惡(선악)을 분명히 하여 사람들에게 바른 길을 알려 주는 것이 글쓰는 사람의 의무나 글 장난을 하여 善惡(선악)과 淸濁(청탁)과 厚薄(후박)을 뒤집어서 못된  짓을 암암리에 권하여 一世(일세)를 기만한다면 이러한 것을 절대 하늘이 용납치 않음이다.   It is the duty of a writer to clearly distinguish between good and evil and to guide people toward the right path.  Qowever, if a writer plays tricks with words―subverting good and evil,  purity and corruption,and gennerosity and meanness ―and secretly encourages wickedness  to deceive the entire generation, Heaven will absolutely never tolerate such actions.  ※ Key Vocabulary.    ● 假章(가장) : Fabrication / False composition(literally, a fake chapter / text).    ● 어질고 성량한 사람 : Benevolent and good-natured people.    ● 모함하며 : Slandering / Framing.    ● 吉(길)과 凶(흉) : Good fortune and misfortune(or good and bed luck).    ● 하늘이 반드시 용납하지 안을 것이니 : Heaven will surely not tolerate                                                                (expressing divine justice or natural law).    ● 假托(가탁) : Falsely using /  Pretexting.    ● 弄文換墨(농문환묵): Toying with words and changing the ink(manipulating records / writings).    ● 捏陷 (날함) : Framing / Fabricating charges to trap someone.    ● 慫慂(종용) : Instigating /Inciting.    ● 顚倒(전도) : Overturning / Subverting(reversing the natural order).    ● 況于斯哉(황우사재) : "How much less so in this case?"                        (A classical rhetorical question emphasizing that divine justice cannot be escaped).    ● 善惡(선악) : Good and evil.    ● 淸濁(청탁) : Purity aand corruption(Literally, "the clear and the muddy").    ● 厚薄(후박) : Genersity and meanness / Kindness and unkindness                        (literally, "the thick / deep and the thin / shallow" of human affection / treatment).    ● 글 장난을 하여 : Playing tricks with words / Wordplay.    ● 암암리에 권하여 : Secretly encouraginng / Covertly instigating.    ● 一世(일세) : The entire generation / The whole world.
