여호와여 내가 주께 부르짖으오니 나의 반석이여 내게 귀를 막지마소서

To you I call, O LORD my Rock; do not turn a deaf ear to me.

주께서 내게 잠잠하시면 내가 무덤에 내려가는 자와 같을까 하나이다

For if you remain silent, I will be like those who have gone down to the pit.

내가 주의 성소를 향하여 나의 손을 들고 주께 부르짖을 때에

Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help,

나의 간구하는 소리를 들으소서

as I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place.

악인과 행악하는 자와 함께 나를 끌지 마옵소서

Do not drag me away with the wicked, with those who do evil,

저희는 그 이웃 에게 화평을 말하나 그 마음에는 악독이 있나이다

who speak cordially with their neighbors but harbor malice in their hearts.

저희는 여호와의 행하신 일과 손으로 지으신것을 생각지 아니하므로

Since they show no regard for the works of the LORD and what his hands have done,

여호와께서 저희를 파괴하고 건설치 아니 하시리로다

he will tear them down and never build them up again.

Praise be to the LORD,

내 간구하는 소리를 들으심이로다

for he has heard my cry for mercy.

여호와는 나의 힘과 나의 방패시니

The LORD is my strength and my shield;

내 마음이 저를 의지하여 도움을 얻었도다

my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.

The LORD is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.

어떤 기도, 어떤 길 Some Prayer, some Way

여호와께서 아브람에게 이르시되 너는 너의 본토 친척 아비 집을 떠나 내가 네게 지시할 땅으로 가라 창세기 12:1

믿음으로 아브라함은 부르심을 받았을 때에 순종하여 장래 기업으로 받을 땅에 나갈쌔 갈 바를 알지 못하고 나갔으며 히브리서 11:8

내가 가는 곳에 그 길을 너희가 알리라 도마가 가로되 주여 어디로 가시는지 우리가 알지 못하거늘 그 길을 어찌 알겠삽나이까 예수께서 가라사대 내가 곧 길이요 진리요 생명이니 나로 말미암지 않고는 아버지께로 올 자가 없느니라 요한복음 14:4-6

Now the LORD said to Abram, "Go forth from your country, And from your relatives And from your father's house, To the land which I will show you; Genesis 12:1

By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going. Hebrews 11:8

"And you know the way where I am going." Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. John 14:4-6

살면서 부딪치는 많은 어려운 상황에 기도하지 않고 해결하려 하는 경우가 얼마나 많을까요? 또 우리가 하는 기도 중 얼마나 많은 경우가 미리 결과를 정해 놓고 하고 있을까요? 하지만 이러한 기도들도 주님의 겟세마네 동산 마지막 기도에 “아바 아버지여 할 만 하시거든 이 잔을 내게서 물리시옵소서.”하셨으니 우리도 역시 주변 기도, 필요기도를 할 수 있다고 생각합니다.

오늘 우리가 생각할 내용은 어쩌면 살면서 몇 번 부딪치지 않을 수도 있는 그런 상황에 대한 것입니다. 아브라함은 그의 나이 75세에 하나님께 부르심을 받습니다. “너는 너의 본토 친척 아비 집을 떠나 내가 네게 지시할 땅으로 가라.” 우리는 기록을 통하여 그 곳이 가나안임을 알고 있습니다. 하지만 당시 아브라함에게는 그렇지 않았습니다. “믿음으로 아브라함은 부르심을 받았을 때에 순종하여 장래 기업으로 받을 땅에 나갈 쌔 갈 바를 알지 못하고 나갔으며”

베드로는 주님 부활 후에 주님께 묻습니다. “주여 어디로 가시나이까?” 이런 상황은 우리 삶에서 매일 찾아오는 것은 아닙니다. 또 아무에게나 주어지지 않을 수도 있습니다. 하지만 주께서 도마에게 하신 말씀, “내가 곧 길이요 진리요 생명이니 나로 말미암지 않고는 아버지께로 올 자가 없느니라.”은 오늘을 살며 주와 연합을 믿는 우리 모두에게 하신 것임 역시 분명한 사실입니다.

이것은 주께서 말씀하신 “내가 곧 길이요.”라는 부분에 해당합니다. 이 길은 성문화되어 있거나 이미 눈앞에 존재하는 것이 아닙니다. 그 시작은 주님의 부르심을 받는 것입니다. 이는 마치 내 마음에 주어진 하나의 뜻처럼, 하나의 생각처럼 시작될 것입니다. 마치 아브라함에게 주어진 부르심, 곧 “너는 너의 본토 친척 아비 집을 떠나 내가 네게 지시할 땅으로 가라.”와 같습니다. 저는 아브라함은 특별하여 하나님의 부르심을 직접 들었다고 생각지 않습니다.

이 처음은 길을 떠나려 하는 것입니다. 어디로 가야 할지를 모르는 상황에서 길을 발견한 것입니다. 그럼 이제 길을 떠나야 할 텐데 그 다음 문제는 방향입니다. 우리는 이 방향을 알기 위해 ‘기도’가 필요합니다. 기도는 흔히 하듯이 결론을 정해 놓고 우격다짐 식으로 하는 것이 아닙니다. 기도를 하는 이유는 하나님이 인도하심의 방향을 발견하려 하는 것입니다. 그러므로 거기에는 믿음과 인내, 그리고 지혜가 필요할 것입니다.

이제 방향이 발견되었으면 그 길로 출발합니다. 그 길을 가는 것입니다. 여기에 필요한 것은 믿음입니다. 믿음은 아직 가보지 않은 길에 대한 성취의 확신을 말합니다. 그러므로 이는 경험과는 같지 않습니다. 그러는 중에 우리는 공급이 하나님께로부터 주어진다는 사실을 경험할 수도 있을 것입니다. 이 과정에 우리는 하나님의 동행하심을 피부적으로 느낄 수 있게 됩니다. 그것은 더 이상 이론이 아닌 실재가 됩니다.

아마 그 길 끝 어딘가에서 우리는 주께서 우리의 길이시라는 말씀의 의미를 깨닫고 있을 것입니다. 인생은 각자 자신이 살아온 길을 갖고 있기 때문에 오히려 그 길에 집착하게 되고 주님의 길에 열린 마음을 갖지 못할 수도 있습니다. 오직 아브라함처럼, 혹은 베드로처럼 주의 길을 사모하는 마음에 이 부르심이 주어질 것입니다. 모든 길을 다 간 후, 우리의 뒤를 바라보는 이들이 또 이 길에서 주를 만나기를 바랍니다.

How often do we try to solve the many difficult situations we encounter in our lives without praying? And how many of our prayers are pre-determined? However, these prayers are also said in the last prayer of the Lord's Gethsemane Garden, "Please bite this cup from me, father, if you deserve it." So I think we can also pray and pray for those around us.

What we're going to think about today is a situation in which we probably won't bump into each other a few times in our lives. Abraham is called by God at the age of 75. "You should leave your native relative's house and go to the land I will instruct you to do." We know from records that it was Canaan. But that was not the case with Abraham at the time. "By faith, Abraham was called out without knowing where to go when he was called, and went out on his land as a future business."

After the Lord's resurrection, Peter asks the Lord, "Where are you going, Lord?" This situation does not come every day in our lives. It may not be given to anyone. But it is also clear that the Lord said to Doma, "I am the way, truth, life, and no one will come to my father without me." It is also clear that he did it to all of us who live today and believe in the Lord and the Union.

This corresponds to the part that the Lord said, "I'm on my way." This path is not codified or already existing before your eyes. It begins with the Lord's call. It will begin like a will, like an idea, given to my heart. The call given to Abraham is like, "Leave your mainland relative, Abi's house, and go to the land I will direct you to." I don't think Abraham is special, so I heard the call of God directly.

The first is to leave. You found your way when you didn't know where to go. Then you'll have to leave now, and the next question is the direction. We need a 'prayer' to know this direction. Prayer is not about deciding and arguing, as it is often done. The reason for praying is that God is trying to find the direction of guidance. Therefore it will take faith, patience, and wisdom.

Now, if a direction has been found, we start on that path. What is needed here is faith. Faith is the conviction of achievement on a path that has not yet been taken. Therefore, it is not the same as an experience. In the meantime, we may experience that supply comes from God. In this process, we can feel God's companionship in skin. It becomes reality, no longer a theory.

Perhaps somewhere at the end of the road, we are realizing the meaning of the word that the Lord is our way. Because each person has a path in which he has lived, he may become obsessed with it and may not be open to it. This call will be given to the longing for the Lord's path only like Abraham or Peter. I hope those who look behind us will meet the Lord on this path after all the paths have been taken.
