			Korean Girls Emulate Male Colleague to Clinch Junior Gold in Manama

Yang Ha Eun unbeaten at Bahrain Junior Open.  Photo By: Bahrain TTA 2/5/2009        Bahrain Junior Open - ITTF Junior Circuit Success for Korea in the Boys?Team event at the Bahrain Junior Open on Thursday 5th February 2009 and, not to be outdone by their male colleagues, the junior girls performed likewise. Furthermore, the manner of their success to some extent outshone the boys. They recorded three-nil victories on each visit to the table. There was no stopping Kim Min Gyung and Yang Ha Eun. Route to Gold Seeded two, they beat the combination of Bahrain Hessa Alzayani and Egypt  Dina Meshref in the semi-finals before overcoming the top seeds, Romania  Anamaria Sebe and Cristina Hirici in the final; the latter duo having been equally repentant en route to the final. They came through the group stage with a brace of three-nil wins, before posting a similar score line against the Egyptian pairing of Reem ElShobary and Galila Nasser. Gold for Belarus Meanwhile, in the Cadet Girls?Team event it was success for Belarus and hard fought success. Successfully through the group stage, the pairing of Katsiaryna Baravok and Maryia Kuchuk beat Egypt  Alia Doaa and Dina Meshref in a thrilling semi-final duel. Both Katsiaryna Baravok and Maryia Kuchuk lost to Dina Meshref but two singles victories over Alia Doaa and a doubles win secured victory. However, spare a thought for the Egyptians; the two defeats for Alia Doaa were in five games as was the doubles reverse. On the contrary Dina Meshref won both her matches in straight games. Testing Equally, the final was testing but not quite to the extent of the semi-final duel against Hong Kong China. Maryia Kuchuk beat both Li Ching Wan and Ng Ka Lee whilst partnering Katsiaryna Baravok to a doubles success; the one win for the eventual silver medallist came from Ng Ya Kee. In the opening match of the fixture, she defeated Katsiaryna Baravok. Penultimate Round At the semi-final stage, the Hong Kong China pairing had beaten Singapore  Isabelle Li and Bahrain  Fatema Alqasimi in a three-two win. Isabelle Li beat both Ng Ka Yee and Li Ching Wan but a doubles reverse and singles defeats for Fatema Alqasimi ended hopes of a local player being in the final.
