2026.8.23(주일) 오늘의 말씀카드, 365묵상글, 예산수정교회 

1. 묵상칼럼 : 은밀한 골방에서 피어나는 사랑과 순종

   진정한 사랑은 말이 아닌 행동과 머무름으로 증명됩니다. 예수님께서는 "나의 계명을 지키는 자라야 나를 사랑하는 자"라고 말씀하셨습니다. 주님을 향한 우리의 사랑은 거창한 구호에 머물지 않고, 삶의 구체적인 순종을 통해 비로소 그 실체를 드러냅니다.

   하지만 순종은 결코 내 힘이나 의지의 단독 질주로 가능하지 않습니다. 순종의 깊은 원동력은 하나님과 단둘이 마주하는 '골방'에서 길어 올려집니다. 마태복음 6장 6절의 말씀처럼 골방에 들어가 문을 닫을 때, 우리는 비로소 세상의 소음을 차단하고 오직 주님께만 집중할 수 있습니다.

   오스왈드 챔버스는 "혼자 기도할 때 가장 큰 싸움은 방황하는 생각들을 극복하는 것"이라며, 의지를 가지고 기도에 집중할 것을 권면했습니다. 문을 닫아도 끊임없이 밀려오는 일상의 염려와 분주한 잡념들을 의지적으로 거두어내고 오직 주님만을 바라보는 훈련, 그것이 바로 영적 싸움의 본질입니다.

   방황하는 생각을 붙잡아 기도로 엮어낼 때, 골방은 비로소 은밀하게 계시는 아버지를 만나는 거룩한 성소가 됩니다. 그 친밀한 만남 속에서 우리는 아버지의 사랑을 확신하게 되고, 세상 가운데 나아가 주의 뜻을 지켜낼 담대한 힘을 얻습니다. 주님은 자신을 사랑하며 그 계명을 지키는 이에게 친히 자신을 나타내시겠다고 약속하셨습니다. 오늘, 분주한 생각을 내려놓고 골방의 문을 닫으십시오. 주님을 향한 온전한 집중과 순종의 자리에 그분의 임재가 가득할 것입니다.

2. 묵상칼럼(영어버전) : Love and Obedience Flourishing in the Secret Place

   True love proves itself not through mere words, but through dedicated presence and obedient action. Jesus said, "Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me." Our love for Christ is not defined by grand declarations; it takes concrete shape when we walk in faithful obedience to His truth.

   Yet genuine obedience never originates from raw self-effort alone. The strength to obey is cultivated in the secret place—in quiet communion with the Father. As Matthew 6:6 reminds us, when we enter our inner room and shut the door, we shut out the noise of the world and redirect our gaze solely toward God.

   Oswald Chambers noted that "the greatest fight in personal prayer is overcoming wandering thoughts." Even behind closed doors, our minds are often flooded with daily anxieties, plans, and distractions. Setting aside these wandering thoughts and intentionally anchoring our focus on God is a true spiritual discipline that requires our deliberate will.

   When we actively surrender our scattered thoughts in prayer, our quiet room transforms into a holy sanctuary where we meet our Father who sees in secret. In that intimacy, we receive His love and the divine grace needed to walk obediently in our daily lives. To those who love Him and hold fast to His words, Christ promises to reveal Himself. Today, close the door to the distractions of this world, fix your heart on Him, and experience the fullness of His living presence.
