Chapter 2. Lower Scripture(下經,하경) 24 Teachings(訓,훈) 156 Matters(事,사)
The 5th Core Principle : Calamity(禍,화)... Disaster... Matter No. 183
Article 1 : Deception(欺,기)... Cheating(Tricking)... Matter 184.
Itme 8 : Mu-jong(無終,무종)... Having No Conclusion(Lack of Finish)... Case No. 192
"Mu-jong(無終,무종 -having no conclusion) means only thinking about the beginning
and deceiving others by failing to bring things to a finish.
When people handle matters, but fail to finish, those who start well and finish well,
and those who are forced to stop halfway;
all of this can only ve known after the action has been taken.
However, "having no conalusion" means that in the procedss of initiating and leading a matter,
one claims a distant reason to be a close one, and falsely promises to make something
good when they are actually making it worse.
When such private greed reaches iys peak, it will inevitably collapse(be overturned).
[Original Text,
Those who lack a conclusion(無終者,무종자) initially harbor the intent to have no end,
thereby committing a deception.
When people handle matters,
there are those who manage to start well but fail to bring things to a finish,
there are those who start well and finish well,
and otherss who, helplessly, are forced to stop halfway.
All of these cases can only be known after the actions have been carried out,
However, this sspecific act of "having no conclusion(無終,무종)
operates by initially enticing others:
It misrepresents a distant, impractical reason as a cclose, immediate one,
and it misrepresents a poorly done or bad deed(歹做,대주) as a well-done or good deed.
When succh private greed reaches its absolute limit, it will inevitably backfire and be voerturned.
[Explanation,
If a task is not fully completed, one must continue working on it until it is finished.
However, claiming that a task is complete when it is actually unfinished inevitably leads to deceit.
Deception can never be reasonable, nor can it ever be right.
When this behavior reaches its extreme, the accumulated deception will inevitably backfire,
and falling into a trap of one′s own making becomes an absolute certainty.
