The Avatamsaka Sutra, Eulogies on Mount Sumeru (수미정상게찬품 10-1)

[眞如華]

     10-1.

      3. 西方의 勝慧菩薩

     爾時      勝慧菩薩      承佛威力      普觀十方      而說頌言

     그때에 승혜보살이 부처님의 위신력을 받들어 널리 시방을 관찰하고 게송으로

말하였습니다.

Then the enlightening being Supreme Wisdom, receiving power from

the Buddha, looked over the ten directions and said in verse,

Then; 그때에

the enlightening being Supreme Wisdom

; 승혜보살이

receiving power from the Buddha

; 부처님의 위신력을 받들어

looked over the ten directions and

; 널리 시방을 관찰하고

said in verse; said in verse

      (1) 如來의 智慧

     如來大智慧      希有無等倫

     一切諸世間      思惟莫能及

     여래의 큰 지혜

     희유하여 짝할 이 없어라

     일체 모든 세간들이

     생각으로 능히 미칠 수 없도다.

The Enlightened One’s great wisdom

Is rare, beyond compare;

All beings in the worlds

Cannot reach it in their thoughts.

The Enlightened One’s; 여래의

great wisdom; 큰 지혜

Is rare; 희유하여

beyond compare; 짝할 이 없어라

All beings in the worlds

; 일체 모든 세간들이

Cannot reach it; 능히 미칠 수 없도다

in their thoughts; 생각으로

여래의 큰지혜 희유하여...
