아는 것만으로도 생명을 살릴 수도
모르면 물어보기만 잘해도 생명을
누구에게 묻고 알아볼 것인가
알면서도 외면하고 모른척한다면

쓰디쓴 약을 좋아할 아이가 없지만
약인 줄 알고 먹여야 살릴 수 있기에
울고불고 떼를 써도 코를 잡고서라도
먹이고 살리는 부모님의 마음이라

한 사람이라도 난관 가운데 일어서고
불합리하고 억측 같아도 살길이기에
망설임 없이 목숨이라도 걸고 나선다
민족을 살리고 가족을 살리기 위해

사랑을 품고 나를 살리기 위해 기꺼이
모든 것을 내어주시고 살려주셨네
살 수 없는 인생의 벼랑 끝에서 기꺼이
생명을 주고 새삶을 선물로 주셨네
