[틈틈이 영어공부] I'm afraid they have seen better days.
- 영한 : 상하다, 한물가다, 상태가 않좋다, 좋았던 시절도 있었다, (사람이)옛날엔 잘 살았다, (물건이)다 낡았다.
- 영영 : have declined from former prosperity or good condition, it is old and in poor condition.
- 동일 : have known better days / see better days
- 예문 :

Fran: Again? Weren't you complaining that it's too expensive to eat out?
프랜: 또? 당신이 외식은 비싸다고 불평하지 않았어?
Wayne: Yes, but we don't have anything else to eat.
웨인: 그랬지만 우리 다른 먹을 게 없잖아.
Fran: Good point. I guess we have to eat out.
프랜: 좋은 지적이야. 밖에서 먹을 도리밖엔 없네.
