恃(시)는 도움을 입는 것이다.

  Si(恃,시) means to receive aid or support.

남에게 총애를 입으면 다 떨어지고 남은 잎이 푸르게 무성해짐과도 같으니

어찌 감히 방자한 생각을 품을 수 있겠는가?

  Receiving favor from others is like remaining  green and lush while all other leaves have fallen.

   How then could one dare to harbor arrogant or presumptuous thoughts?

오직 속이고 해침을 써서 마음의 중심부터 좀벌레가 생긴다면,

총애를 간직한 사람의 마음이 차가워져서 스스로 물러나는 것이다.

  If one resorts solely to deception and malice,

  causing cankerworms(corruption) to breed from the very core of their heart,

  the mind of the one who once cherished them will grow cold,

   and they will naturally withdraw their favor.

恃는 賴也라 蒙人存寵이면 (시는 뢰야라 몽인존총이면)

  Si(恃,시) means to rely upon(Roe, 賴 뢰).

  If one receives and enjoys another′s favor,

殘葉이 靑秀니 敢懷恣肆리요 (잔엽이 청수니 감회자사리요)

  it is like being a green and beautiful leaf among fallen ones;

  how then could one dare to harbor arrogant or reckless thoughts?

專用瞞害하여 蠹於中心이면 (전용만해하여 두어중심이면)

  If one acts solely with deceit and malkce,

  allowing corruption to breed within the heart,

存寵者冷하여 自去之하느니라. (존총자냉하여 자거지하느니라.)

  the one who besstowed that gavor will grow cold and naturally distance themselves.

                                          타인에게서 특별한 사랑이나 대우를 받는 상황을 뜻합니다.

      ● 殘葉靑秀(잔엽청수) : "Remaining leaves are green and elegant."

                                          다른 잎들이 다 떨어질 때 홀로 푸르름을 유지하는 특별한 혜택을 비유합니다.

      ● 恣肆(자사) : "Arrogant, reckless, or unrestrained."

                            방자하고 제멋대로 행동하는 오만한 태도를 의미합니다.

      ● 瞞害(만해) : "Deceit and harm."

                             남을 속이고 해를 끼치는 악한 행동입니다.

      ● 蠹於中心(두어중심) :" Worms squirm / breed at the center(heart)."

                                         마음의 가장 깊은 곳에서부터 타락이나 부정적인 생각들이 싹트는 것을

                                         생생하게 비유한 표현입니다.
