Invention of Moveable Metal Type - Sophie

 Hello, everyone. I'm sophie.

For today I want to tell you about moveable metal type.

There has been one guess that Gutenberg, who is widely known as the first invetor of moveable metal type, imitated it made in koyro. When we look into the invention process of Gutenberg, there is an idea to support the guess. Whereas it took around 200 years for people of koyro to complete moveable metal type, Gutenberg made it within 10 years. We can think he got a thought about printing from somthing. At this point some people assume that one of his friends who visited koryo delivered it to him. At that time, koryo was the only country which produced moveable metal type.

With this, Korean scholars have tried to find out 'the road of type'.
