1)
천재란 누구인가?
하늘이 낸 재능의 소유자입니다.
그렇지만 그래서 천재가 된다면 누구나 천재일 것입니다.

고르지 않고 일정하지 않아도 하늘은 사람을 재능없이는 세상에 내놓지 않기 때문입니다.

사람이란 살(肉)과 앎(知)을 등불 삼아
생존해야하기 때문으로 살은 육체적 생명활동을, 앎은 정신적 창조활동을 상징합니다.

사람이면 누구나 말 그대로 '살'과 '앎'이란 생존과 창조의 재능을 하늘로부터 받습니다. 그렇지만 갈고, 다듬고, 키워가는 것은 각자의 몫이겠지요.

이루고자 하는 목표에 천부의 생명력을 격렬하게 갈아넣은 일군의 사람들이 있는데. 나는 그들을 천재라고 부릅니다.

그런만큼 그들의 수명은 길지 못합니다.

고흐, 모짜르뜨, 모딜리아니, 이상, 에공쉴레...등등
그들은 찬란하게 불타오르다 급격히 사그라져 별이 되었습니다.

나는 내나름으로 몇 분의 천재를 만날 수 있었는데 그분들의 품성은 하나같이 직선적인 집중이었습니다.

칼의 긴장과 붓의 자유 사이의 오묘한 조화를 잘 제어할수록 작가의 천재성이 드러납니다.

몽원 노춘석의 긴장과 자유를 항한 밀고 당기는 길항의 조화력은 참으로 대단합니다.

그래서 나는 노춘석을 서슴없이 천재의 집단에 속한다고 일찌감치 규정하였습니다.

그의 큰 장점중의 하나는 아찔하도록 현란한 변화입니다.

노춘석의 예술가로써의
변모는 매번 숨 멎을 정도로 한계치를 넘나듭니다.

노춘석은 눈과 손과 미에 대한 감각의 일체감이 특유의 속도감을 타고 어떤 쟝르이던지 직진하여 핵심을 움켜잡고 있기 때문이기도합니다.

그의 붓질 하나하나는. 마치 검사(劍士)의 칼길과 같은 기백이 베어 나오고 있는데 그건 그가 얼마나 필사적으로 작업에 임하고 있는가? 라는 것을 가늠케 합니다.

본능적인 생존감각이 그를 결사적인 막바지로 밀어부치고 있고, 그는 늘 너끈하게 탈출하고 있습니다.

그것이야말로 예술가로써 최상의 서사가 아닐까요!

그러나 그의 위험천만한 탈바꿈은 매번 성공적인 결과를 만들어 내고 있습니다.

그것은 그가 뛰어난 소묘력과 집중력의 소유자이기 때문에 비로소 가능한 일입니다. 그런 능력은 남달리 고행스러운 숙련의 한켜한켜 쌓임이고 다양성을 쫒되 일관성을 놓치지 않는 조화력의 주인이라는 뜻이기도합니다.

그러면서도 그의 목소리는 언제나 부드럽고 나직나직하고 정중합니다.
매사 절차탁마하는 그의 절도있는 품성의 발로입니다.

노춘석은 지금, 여기를 샹그릴라로 만들려는 염원으로 자신의 호를 몽원(夢園)이라고 하지 않았을까요.

그렇다면 세상을 '몽유도원'으로 만들기 위한 붓을 움켜 쥔 화가로써의 선언이 그의 일거수 일투족이 아닐 수 없습니다. 그는 꿈에서라도 소리 높혀 선언할 것입니다.

"나는 나를 꿈꾸는
붓의 소유자이다."

이제 몽원 노춘석의 시대가 바야흐로 활짝 펼쳐지고 있음을 직감하게 됩니다.

그런 그와 흉금을 터놓고 두런두런 세상이야기를 나눌 수 있는 동시대의 지기라는 것은 나에게도 큰 행운이 아닐 수 없습니다.

부디 늘 건강하시고, 건필하시어 특유의 명징한 붓질을 오래오래 이어가길 다만 간곡하게 기원드릴 뿐입니다.

Who is a genius?
He is the owner of heaven's talent.
But if you become a genius, everyone will be a genius.

This is because even if it is uneven and inconsistent, heaven does not bring people to the world without talent.

A man uses flesh (肉) and knowledge as a beacon
Because you have to survive, living symbolizes physical life activities, and knowing symbolizes mental creative activities.

Everyone literally receives the gift of survival and creation from heaven -- flesh and knowledge -- but it's up to them to hone, polish and nurture.

There's a group of people who have put a thousand lives into the goal they want to achieve. I call them geniuses.

Their lifespan is not as long as that.

Gogh, Mozart, Modigliani, Isang, Egongschle... etc
They burned brilliantly and then died down to become stars.

I was able to meet a few geniuses in my own way, and their personalities were all straightforward.

The better the control of the subtle harmony between the tension of the sword and the freedom of the brush, the more the genius of the artist is revealed.

The harmony between the tension of Mongwon No Chun-seok and the push-and-pull antagonism against freedom is truly great.

So I defined Noh Chun-seok early on as belonging to a group of geniuses without hesitation.

One of his big advantages is his dizzying change.

As an artist of Noh Chun-seok
Transformation is breathtakingly over the limit every time.

It is also because Noh Chun-seok's sense of unity of eyes, hands, and beauty is in his unique sense of speed and grabs the core by going straight to whatever genre it is.

Every single stroke of his brush, like the sword of a prosecutor, 劍, is being cut down, and it gives us a sense of how desperate is he working on it.

An instinctive sense of survival is pushing him to the end of his life, and he's always escaping enthusiastically.

Isn't that the best narrative as an artist!

But his dangerous transformation has produced successful results every time.

It is only possible because he has excellent drawing and concentration. Such ability also means that he is a master of harmony that is exceptionally highly skilled, seeks diversity, but does not miss consistency.

Nevertheless, his voice is always soft and gentle and polite.
It's his humble character who goes through everything.

Now, with the hope of turning this place into Shangri-La, didn't Noh Chun-seok call his pen name Mongwon (夢園).

Then, his declaration as an artist holding a brush to make the world a 'dream guide' is his every move. He will declare loudly, even in his dreams.

"I dream of myself."
He is the owner of the brush."

Now you can feel that the era of Mongwon No Chun-seok is unfolding.

It is also a great luck for me to be a contemporary acquaintance who can openly talk about the world with him.

I hope you will always be healthy and healthy and continue your unique and clear brush strokes for a long time.
