Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit.고전14:3그러나 예언하는 자는 사람에게 말하여 덕을 세우며 권면하며 위로하는 것이요 1 Corinthians 14:3.But everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort.고전14:4방언을 말하는 자는 자기의 덕을 세우고 예언하는 자는 교회의 덕을 세우나니 1 Corinthians 14:4.He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.고전14:5나는 너희가 다 방언 말하기를 원하나 특별히 예언하기를 원하노라 만일 방언을 말하는 자가 통역하여 교회의 덕을 세우지 아니하면 예언하는 자만 못하니라1 Corinthians 14:5.I would like every one of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. He who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may be edified.고전14:6그런즉 형제들아 내가 너희에게 나아가서 방언으로 말하고 계시나 지식이나 예언이나 가르치는 것으로 말하지 아니하면 너희에게 무엇이 유익하리요 1 Corinthians 14:6.Now, brothers, if I come to you and speak in tongues, what good will I be to you, unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or word of instruction?고전14:7혹 피리나 거문고와 같이 생명 없는 것이 소리를 낼 때에 그 음의 분별을 나타내지 아니하면 피리 부는 것인지 거문고 타는 것인지 어찌 알게 되리요 1 Corinthians 14:7.Even in the case of lifeless things that make sounds, such as the flute or harp, how will anyone know what tune is being played unless there is a distinction in the notes?고전14:8만일 나팔이 분명하지 못한 소리를 내면 누가 전투를 준비하리요 1 Corinthians 14:8.Again, if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle?고전14:9이와 같이 너희도 혀로써 알아 듣기 쉬운 말을 하지 아니하면 그 말하는 것을 어찌 알리요 이는 허공에다 말하는 것이라 1 Corinthians 14:9.So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air.고전14:10이같이 세상에 소리의 종류가 많으나 뜻 없는 소리는 없나니 1 Corinthians 14:10.Undoubtedly there are all sorts of languages in the world, yet none of them is without meaning.고전14:11그러므로 내가 그 소리의 뜻을 알지 못하면 내가 말하는 자에게 외국인이 되고 말하는 자도 내게 외국인이 되리니 1 Corinthians 14:11.If then I do not grasp the meaning of what someone is saying, I am a foreigner to the speaker, and he is a foreigner to me.고전14:12그러므로 너희도 영적인 것을 사모하는 자인즉 교회의 덕을 세우기 위하여 그것이 풍성하기를 구하라 1 Corinthians 14:12.So it is with you. Since you are eager to have spiritual gifts, try to excel in gifts that build up the church.고전14:13그러므로 방언을 말하는 자는 통역하기를 기도할지니1 Corinthians 14:13.For this reason anyone who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret what he says.고전14:14내가 만일 방언으로 기도하면 나의 영이 기도하거니와 나의 마음은 열매를 맺지 못하리라 1 Corinthians 14:14.For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. 고전14:15그러면 어떻게 할까 내가 영으로 기도하고 또 마음으로 기도하며 내가 영으로 찬송하고 또 마음으로 찬송하리라 1 Corinthians 14:15.So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind.고전14:16그렇지 아니하면 네가 영으로 축복할 때에 알지 못하는 처지에 있는 자가 네가 무슨 말을 하는지 알지 못하고 네 감사에 어찌 아멘 하리요 1 Corinthians 14:16.If you are praising God with your spirit, how can one who finds himself among those who do not understand say "Amen" to your thanksgiving, since he does not know what you are saying?고전14:17너는 감사를 잘하였으나 그러나 다른 사람은 덕 세움을 받지 못하리라 1 Corinthians 14:17.You may be giving thanks well enough, but the other man is not edified.고전14:18내가 너희 모든 사람보다 방언을 더 말하므로 하나님께 감사하노라 1 Corinthians 14:18.I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you.고전14:19그러나 교회에서 네가 남을 가르치기 위하여 깨달은 마음으로 다섯 마디 말을 하는 것이 일만 마디 방언으로 말하는 것보다 나으니라 1 Corinthians 14:19.But in the church I would rather speak five intelligible words to instruct others than ten thousand words in a tongue.고전14:20형제들아 지혜에는 아이가 되지 말고 악에는 어린 아이가 되라 지혜에는 장성한 사람이 되라 1 Corinthians 14:20.Brothers, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be adults.고전14;21율법에 기록된 바 주께서 이르시되 내가 다른 방언을 말하는 자와 다른 입술로 이 백성에게 말할지라도 그들이 여전히 듣지 아니하리라 하였으니 1 Corinthians 14:21.In the Law it is written: "Through men of strange tongues and through the lips of foreigners I will speak to this people, but even then they will not listen to me," says the Lord.고전14;22그러므로 방언은 믿는 자들을 위하지 아니하고 믿지 아니하는 자들을 위하는 표적이나 예언은 믿지 아니하는 자들을 위하지 않고 믿는 자들을 위함이니라 고전14:22.Tongues, then, are a sign, not for believers but for unbelievers; prophecy, however, is for believers, not for unbelievers.고전14:23그러므로 온 교회가 함께 모여 다 방언으로 말하면 알지 못하는 자들이나 믿지 아니하는 자들이 들어와서 너희를 미쳤다 하지 아니하겠느냐 1 Corinthians 14:23.So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and some who do not understand or some unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your mind?고전14;24그러나 다 예언을 하면 믿지 아니하는 자들이나 알지 못하는 자들이 들어와서 모든 사람에게 책망을 들으며 모든 사람에게 판단을 받고 1 Corinthians 14:24.But if an unbeliever or someone who does not understandcomes in while everybody is prophesying, he will be convinced by all that he is a sinner and will be judged by all,고전14:25그 마음의 숨은 일들이 드러나게 되므로 엎드리어 하나님께 경배하며 하나님이 참으로 너희 가운데 계신다 전파하리라 1 Corinthians 14:25.and the secrets of his heart will be laid bare. So he will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, "God is really among you!“①bare¹ [bεǝr] ɑ. 벌거벗은, 알몸의, 가리지 않은, 드러낸.사실 그대로의, 적나라한②exclaim[ikskléim] 외치다2.감탄하다고전14:26그런즉 형제들아 어찌할까 너희가 모일 때에 각각 찬송시도 있으며 가르치는 말씀도 있으며 계시도 있으며 방언도 있으며 통역함도 있나니 모든 것을 덕을 세우기 위하여 하라 1 Corinthians 14:26.What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church.고전14:27만일 누가 방언으로 말하거든 두 사람이나 많아야 세 사람이 차례를 따라 하고 한 사람이 통역할 것이요 1 Corinthians 14:27.If anyone speaks in a tongue, two--or at the most three--should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret.고전14:28만일 통역하는 자가 없으면 교회에서는 잠잠하고 자기와 하나님께 말할 것이요 1 Corinthians 14:28.If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and God.고전14:29예언하는 자는 둘이나 셋이나 말하고 다른 이들은 분별할 것이요 1 Corinthians 14:29.Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said.①carefully [kέǝrfǝli] ɑd.주의 깊게; 면밀히, 신중히, 정성들여; 검소하게, 규모 있게.②weigh [wei] vt.…의 무게를 달다; ⦗~ oneself로⦘ 체중을 달다.숙고하다, 고찰하다; 평가하다; 비교 고량(考量)하다.중요시되다, (…에게) 중요하다《with》vi.무게를 재다n.무게를 달기, 검량(檢量).헤아리다; …을 평가하다.고전14:30만일 곁에 앉아 있는 다른 이에게 계시가 있으면 먼저 하던 자는 잠잠할지니라1 Corinthians 14:30.And if a revelation comes to someone who is sitting down, the first speaker should stop. 고전14:31너희는 다 모든 사람으로 배우게 하고 모든 사람으로 권면을 받게 하기 위하여 하나씩 하나씩 예언할 수 있느니라 1 Corinthians 14:31.For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged.고전14:32예언하는 자들의 영은 예언하는 자들에게 제재를 받나니 1 Corinthians 14:32.The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets.고전14:33하나님은 무질서의 하나님이 아니시요 오직 화평의 하나님이시니라 모든 성도가 교회에서 함과 같이 1 Corinthians 14:33.For God is not a God of disorder but of peace. As in all the congregations of the saints,고전14:34여자는 교회에서 잠잠하라 그들에게는 말하는 것을 허락함이 없나니 율법에 이른 것 같이 오직 복종할 것이요 1 Corinthians 14:34.women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says.고전14:35만일 무엇을 배우려거든 집에서 자기 남편에게 물을지니 여자가 교회에서 말하는 것은 부끄러운 것이라 1 Corinthians 14:35.If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.고전14:36하나님의 말씀이 너희로부터 난 것이냐 또는 너희에게만 임한 것이냐 1 Corinthians 14:36.Did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only people it has reached?①originate [ǝrídʒǝnèit] vt. 시작하다, 근원이 되다, 일으키다.창설하다, 창작하다, 발명〔고안〕하다(invent).vi.비롯하다, 일어나다, 생기다, 시작하다《from; in; with》 (버스·열차 등이) …에서 시발하다《ɑt; in》The flight orignates in New York. 그 항공편은 뉴욕발이다. 고전14:37만일 누구든지 자기를 선지자나 혹은 신령한 자로 생각하거든 내가 너희에게 편지하는 이 글이 주의 명령인 줄 알라1 Corinthians 14:37.If anybody thinks he is a prophet or spiritually gifted, let him acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord's command. 고전14:38만일 누구든지 알지 못하면 그는 알지 못한 자니라 1 Corinthians 14:38.If he ignores this, he himself will be ignored.고전14:39그런즉 내 형제들아 예언하기를 사모하며 방언 말하기를 금하지 말라 1 Corinthians 14:39.Therefore, my brothers, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.①do not forbid speaking in tongues.방언 말하기를 금하지 말라.고전14:40모든 것을 품위 있게 하고 질서 있게 하라 1 Corinthians 14:40.But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.
