This document connects the phrase "A single Spiritual Terrace rising loftily and standing
aione"(from the previous Article 12) to historical records and the foundational
philosophy of the Korean people.
[The Connection to Ancient History]
● The phrase is linked to the Dangi - gosa(단기고사),
written by Dae Ya - bal of the Balhae Kingdom.
This text serves as a bridge between the Samil Sindo,
the 366 Sa, and ancient history.
● Inthe Dangi - gosa, Dangun Wanggeom(the gounder of Gojoseon)
commands his minister Won - bo Paeng - o : "you shall take charge of the
task of Revering God(敬神,경신) and teach the people!"
[The Nature of the Universe and God]
■ The Formless God : Heaven has no physical body or boundaeies.
God(the One God) is omnipresent, possessing Great Virtue(大德,대덕),
Great Wisdom(大慧,대혜), and Great Power(大力,대력),
He governs countless worlds abd created all things.
■ Infinite Concepts :
◈Universe(Space) : An infinite "Great Circle"(Great Power).
◈Heavenly Way(Law) : An infinite "Right Ciecle"(Righteous Power).
◈Human Way(Guidance) : An infinite "Right Axis"(Righteous Pivot).
■ Subjectivity and Reality : The :Judging Subject" is Me,
the "Thinking Reality" is Existence.
This is the Yeong - ju(Lord of the Spirit of the One God.
[The Yeong - dae(Spiritual Terrace)]
■ The Yeong - dae is described as the "Secret Communication point"
where one′s spiirit mmerges with the body of Universal Nature.
■ it is where religious devotion begins.
■ The Core Teaching : "Only when you reach the peak of Essence(精,정)
and become One can you grasp the Center(中樞,중추) and align
with what is Right(正,정)."
[Conclusion of the Interpretation]
■ This text explains the most difficult part of "Righteous Mind"(Article 12).
■ it means that when "Religious Devootion" begins and the
Yeong - dae(Spiritual Terrace) stands firm,
the Yeong - ju(lord of the Spirit) becomes independent.
■ In this state, like the sun′s light dissolving mist,
one reaches a realm of purity where "not a single speck of dust
can be created or accumulate," comparable to an infinitely vast and clear sea.
