천국의 실체적 존재 = 내가 진실로 속히 오리라(계22:20) = 거룩한 성 예루살렘(계21:10) = 생명수 강(계22:1)

천국(the Kingdom of God = the Kingdom of heaven) = 하나님이 계신 곳

마4:17 이 때부터 예수께서 비로소 전파하여 이르시되 회개하라 천국이 가까이 왔느니라 하시더라

Then Jesus started preaching, "Turn back to God! The kingdom of heaven will soon be here."

1. 오직 성경만이 종말(죽음) 이후의 일을 알려준다.

*개인적인 종말 : 죽음

*지구적인 종말 : 재림

계1:1~3

1 예수 그리스도의 계시라 이는 하나님이 그에게 주사 반드시 속히 일어날 일들을 그 종들에게 보이시려고 그의 천사를 그 종 요한에게 보내어 알게 하신 것이라 2 요한은 하나님의 말씀과 예수 그리스도의 증거 곧 자기가 본 것을 다 증언하였느니라 3 이 예언의 말씀을 읽는 자와 듣는 자와 그 가운데에 기록한 것을 지키는 자는 복이 있나니 때가 가까움이라

1 This is what God showed to Jesus Christ, so that he could tell his servants what must happen soon. Christ then sent his angel with the message to his servant John. 2 And John told everything that he had seen about God's message and about what Jesus Christ had said and done. 3 God will bless everyone who reads this prophecy to others, and he will bless everyone who hears and obeys it. The time is almost here.

계4:1~3

1 이 일 후에 내가 보니 하늘에 열린 문이 있는데 내가 들은 바 처음에 내게 말하던 나팔 소리 같은 그 음성이 이르되 이리로 올라오라 이 후에 마땅히 일어날 일들을 내가 네게 보이리라 하시더라 2 내가 곧 성령에 감동되었더니 보라 하늘에 보좌를 베풀었고 그 보좌 위에 앉으신 이가 있는데 3 앉으신 이의 모양이 벽옥과 홍보석 같고 또 무지개가 있어 보좌에 둘렸는데 그 모양이 녹보석 같더라

1 After this, I looked and saw a door that opened into heaven. Then the voice that had spoken to me at first and that sounded like a trumpet said, "Come up here! I will show you what must happen next." 2 Right then the Spirit took control of me, and there in heaven I saw a throne and someone sitting on it. 3 The one who was sitting there sparkled like precious stones of jasper and carnelian. A rainbow that looked like an emerald surrounded the throne.

2. 이사야 선지자의 예언(새 하늘과 새 땅 창조)

사65:17~25

17 보라 내가 새 하늘과 새 땅을 창조하나니 이전 것은 기억되거나 마음에 생각나지 아니할 것이라 18 너희는 내가 창조하는 것으로 말미암아 영원히 기뻐하며 즐거워할지니라 보라 내가 예루살렘을 즐거운 성으로 창조하며 그 백성을 기쁨으로 삼고 19 내가 예루살렘을 즐거워하며 나의 백성을 기뻐하리니 우는 소리와 부르짖는 소리가 그 가운데에서 다시는 들리지 아니할 것이며 20 거기는 날 수가 많지 못하여 죽는 어린이와 수한이 차지 못한 노인이 다시는 없을 것이라 곧 백 세에 죽는 자를 젊은이라 하겠고 백 세가 못되어 죽는 자는 저주 받은 자이리라 21 그들이 가옥을 건축하고 그 안에 살겠고 포도나무를 심고 열매를 먹을 것이며 22 그들이 건축한 데에 타인이 살지 아니할 것이며 그들이 심은 것을 타인이 먹지 아니하리니 이는 내 백성의 수한이 나무의 수한과 같겠고 내가 택한 자가 그 손으로 일한 것을 길이 누릴 것이며 23 그들의 수고가 헛되지 않겠고 그들이 생산한 것이 재난을 당하지 아니하리니 그들은 여호와의 복된 자의 자손이요 그들의 후손도 그들과 같을 것임이라 24 그들이 부르기 전에 내가 응답하겠고 그들이 말을 마치기 전에 내가 들을 것이며 25 이리와 어린 양이 함께 먹을 것이며 사자가 소처럼 짚을 먹을 것이며 뱀은 흙을 양식으로 삼을 것이니 나의 성산에서는 해함도 없겠고 상함도 없으리라 여호와께서 말씀하시니라

The LORD's New Creation

17 I am creating new heavens and a new earth; everything of the past will be forgotten. 18 Celebrate and be glad forever! I am creating a Jerusalem, full of happy people. 19 I will celebrate with Jerusalem and all of its people; there will be no more crying or sorrow in that city. 20 No child will die in infancy; everyone will live to a ripe old age. Anyone a hundred years old will be considered young, and to die younger than that will be considered a curse. 21 My people will live in the houses they build; they will enjoy grapes from their own vineyards. 22 No one will take away their homes or vineyards. My chosen people will live to be as old as trees, and they will enjoy what they have earned. 23 Their work won't be wasted, and their children won't die of dreadful diseases. I will bless their children and their grandchildren. 24 I will answer their prayers before they finish praying. 25 Wolves and lambs will graze together; lions and oxen will feed on straw. Snakes will eat only dirt! They won't bite or harm anyone on my holy mountain. I, the LORD, have spoken!

3. 죽음(종말)의 두 모습 : 죽음 후에 둘로 갈라진다(천국,지옥) 이 놀라운 사실을 누가 알리요.

눅16:22 이에 그 거지가 죽어 천사들에게 받들려 아브라함의 품에 들어가고 부자도 죽어 장사되매 그가 음부에서 고통 중에 눈을 들어

마24:40 그 때에 두 사람이 밭에 있으매 한 사람은 데려가고 한 사람은 버려둠을 당할 것이요

마24:41 두 여자가 맷돌질을 하고 있으매 한 사람은 데려가고 한 사람은 버려둠을 당할 것이니라

마25:46 그들은 영벌에, 의인들은 영생에 들어가리라

4. 천국의 주인은 누구인가? 천국의 주인은  주님이시다.

딤후4:18 주께서 나를 모든 악한 일에서 건져내시고 또 그의 천국에 들어가도록 구원하시리니 그에게 영광이 세세무궁토록 있을지어다 아멘

The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom.

5. 누가 천국에 들어가는가. : 성령으로 거듭난 인(印)침 받은 하나님의 자녀

*십사만 사천(144,000) : 이 숫자는 완성수(完成數) 또는 만수(滿數)로서 예수 그리스도를 믿는 모든 자들(성령의 인을 맞는 자들)을 상징적으로 나타내는 것이다.

영적(靈的) 숫자로 이스라엘 각 지파 12,000에 12를 곱한 수를 가리킨다. 즉 하나님만이 나타내실 수 있는 ‘영적 완전한 만수’라고 볼 수 있다.

계7:4내가 인침을 받은 자의 수를 들으니 이스라엘 자손의 각 지파 중에서 인침을 받은 자들이 십사만 사천이니

Then I heard how many people had been marked on the forehead. There were one hundred forty-four thousand, and they came from every tribe of Israel:

계14:1 또 내가 보니 보라 어린 양이 시온 산에 섰고 그와 함께 십사만 사천이 서 있는데 그들의 이마에는 어린 양의 이름과 그 아버지의 이름을 쓴 것이 있더라

I looked and saw the Lamb standing on Mount Zion! With him were a hundred forty-four thousand, who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads.

고후1:22 그가 또한 우리에게 인치시고 보증으로 우리 마음에 성령을 주셨느니라

and put his Spirit in our hearts to show that we belong only to him.

고후5:5  곧 이것을 우리에게 이루게 하시고 보증으로 성령을 우리에게 주신 이는 하나님이시니라

God is the one who makes all of this possible. He has given us his Spirit to make us certain that he will do it.

엡1:13 그 안에서 너희도 진리의 말씀 곧 너희의 구원의 복음을 듣고 그 안에서 또한 믿어 약속의 성령으로 인치심을 받았으니

Christ also brought you the truth, which is the good news about how you can be saved. You put your faith in Christ and were given the promised Holy Spirit to show that you belong to God.

요1:12 영접하는 자 곧 그 이름을 믿는 자들에게는 하나님의 자녀가 되는 권세를 주셨으니

계7:14 이는 큰 환난에서 나오는 자들인데 어린 양의 피에 그 옷을 씻어 희게 하였느니라

"Sir," I answered, "you must know."Then he told me: "These are the ones who have gone through the great suffering. They have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb and have made them white.

계21:27 오직 어린 양의 생명책에 기록된 자들만 들어가리라

But nothing unworthy will be allowed to enter. No one who is dirty-minded or who tells lies will be there. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life will be in the city.

6. 그리스도인에게 죽음은 천국 가는 희망의 날이며 완성의 날이다

잠14:32 의인은 그의 죽음에도 소망이 있느니라

계14:13 지금 이후로 주 안에서 죽는 자들은 복이 있도다

욥19:25~26 내가 알기에는 나의 구속자가 살아계시니... 내가 육체 밖에서 하나님을 보리라

눅16:22 이에 그 거지가 죽어 천사들에게 받들려 아브라함의 품에 들어가고

요14:3 가서 너희를 위하여 거처를 예비하면 내가 다시 와서 너희를 내게로 영접하여 나 있는 것에 너희도 있게 하리라

고후5:1 만일 땅에 있는 우리의 장막 집이 무너지면 하나님께서 지으신 집 곧 손으로 지은 것이 아니요 하늘에 있는 영원한 집이 우리에게 있는 줄 아느니라

계7:17 하나님께서 그들의 눈에서 모든 눈물을 씻어 주실 것임이라

계14:13 그들이 수고를 그치고 쉬리니

계22:12 보라 내가 속히 오리니 내가 줄 상이 내게 있어 각 사람에게 그가 행한 대로 갚아주리라

7. 천국은 현재적이며 동시에 미래적이다. 이미 그러나 아직.

구원이 현재적이며 동시에 미래적인 것과 같이, 천국도 현재적이며 동시에 미래적이다.

그리스도인은 ‘지금 여기서’ 이미 하나님 나라의 현존 가운데서 살고 있다. 현재의 삶은 천국으로 가는 도중의 나그네의 삶이다. ‘이미’와 ‘아직’사이에서 살고 있다.

눅17:21 또 여기 있다 저기 있다고도 못하리니 하나님의 나라는 너희 안에 있느니라

롬14:17 하나님의 나라는 먹고 마시는 것이 아니요 오직 성령 안에 있는 의와 평강과 희락이라

8. 천국 : 하나님이 계시는 곳

(심령천국 -> 낙원천국 -> 공중재림(살전4:17) -> 천년왕국 -> 영원천국(새 예루살렘)

1) 심령천국(하나님을 모신 마음)

눅17:21 또 여기 있다 저기 있다고도 못하리니 하나님의 나라는 너희 안에 있느니라

There is no use saying, 〈Look! Here it is' or 〈Look! There it is.〉 God's kingdom is here with you."

롬14:17 하나님의 나라는 먹고 마시는 것이 아니요 오직 성령 안에 있는 의와 평강과 희락이라

God's kingdom isn't about eating and drinking. It is about pleasing God, about living in peace, and about true happiness. All this comes from the Holy Spirit.

2) 낙원천국 = 아브라함 품(구약적 표현)

*낙원(paradise)은 주님의 재림시까지 그리스도안에서 잠자는 자들이 하나님 나라를 기다리며 일시적으로 머무는 중간상태.

(단 제2의 선택이나 진로변경이 허락되지 않는다. 천주교의 연옥설과 다름)

*낙원과 음부 사이에는 큰 구렁이 있어 왕래가 불가능하다.

눅16:26 그뿐 아니라 너희와 우리 사이에 큰 구렁텅이가 놓여 있어 여기서 너희에게 건너가고자 하되 갈 수 없고 거기서 우리에게 건너올 수도 없게 하였느니라

And besides, there is a deep ditch between us, and no one from either side can cross over.

눅16:22 이에 그 거지가 죽어 천사들에게 받들려 아브라함의 품에 들어가고

The poor man died, and angels took him to the place of honor next to Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried.

눅23:43 예수께서 이르시되 내가 진실로 네게 이르노니 오늘 네가 나와 함께 낙원에 있으리라

Jesus replied, "I promise that today you will be with me in paradise."

행7:55~56

55 스데반이 성령 충만하여 하늘을 우러러 주목하여 하나님의 영광과 및 예수께서 하나님 우편에 서신 것을 보고 56 말하되 보라 하늘이 열리고 인자가 하나님 우편에 서신 것을 보노라 한 대

55 But Stephen was filled with the Holy Spirit. He looked toward heaven, where he saw our glorious God and Jesus standing at his right side. 56 Then Stephen said, "I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right side of God!"

3) 공중 재림

살전4:16~17

16 주께서 호령과 천사장의 소리와 하나님의 나팔 소리로 친히 하늘로부터 강림하시리니 그리스도 안에서 죽은 자들이 먼저 일어나고 17 그 후에 우리 살아 남은 자들도 그들과 함께 구름 속으로 끌어 올려 공중에서 주를 영접하게 하시리니 그리하여 우리가 항상 주와 함께 있으리라

16 With a loud command and with the shout of the chief angel and a blast of God's trumpet, the Lord will return from heaven. Then those who had faith in Christ before they died will be raised to life. 17 Next, all of us who are still alive will be taken up into the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the sky. From that time on we will all be with the Lord forever.

4) 천년왕국 : (전천년설 : 재림이 천년왕국이 이전에 있다 - 재림 후에 천년왕국이 있다)

계20:2 용을 잡으니 곧 옛 뱀이요 마귀요 사탄이라 잡아서 천 년 동안 결박하여 무저갱에 던져 넣어 잠그고 그 위에 인봉하여 천 년이 차도록 다시는 만국을 미혹하지 못하게 하였는데

계20:4 또 내가 보니 예수를 증언함과 하나님의 말씀 때문에 목 베임을 당한 자들의 영혼들과 또 짐승과 그의 우상에게 경배하지 아니하고 그들의 이마와 손에 그의 표를 받지 아니한 자들이 살아서 그리스도와 더불어 천 년 동안 왕 노릇 하니

5) 새 하늘과 새 땅, 새 예루살렘(영원천국) : 하나님과 영생을 누리는 곳.

계21:1~2 또 내가 새 하늘과 새 땅을 보니 처음 하늘과 처음 땅이 없어졌고 바다도 다시 있지 않더라 또 내가 보매 거룩한 성 새 예루살렘이 하나님께로부터 하늘에서 내려오니 신부가 남편을 위하여 단장한 것 같더라

1 I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth had disappeared, and so had the sea. 2 Then I saw New Jerusalem, that holy city, coming down from God in heaven. It was like a bride dressed in her wedding gown and ready to meet her husband.

9. 천국의 외부적(外部的) 모습의 실재(實在)

*천국은 상상속의 꾸며낸 이야기가 아니다.

*천국은 실체적으로 존재하는 장소(모양, 크기, 재질 등이 구체적으로 기록)이다.

*거룩한 성 : 견고한 기초위에 세워졌다. 네모반듯하게 세워졌다. 아름다운 보석으로 장식이 되어있다.

*만 이천(12,000) 스다디온 : 12,000 = 12(완전수) X 1,000(만수)으로 성의 완전성을 의미한다.

계21:1~3(새 하늘과 새 땅)

1 또 내가 새 하늘과 새 땅을 보니 처음 하늘과 처음 땅이 없어졌고 바다도 다시 있지 않더라 2 또 내가 보매 거룩한 성 새 예루살렘이 하나님께로부터 하늘에서 내려오니 그 준비한 것이 신부가 남편을 위하여 단장한 것 같더라 3 내가 들으니 보좌에서 큰 음성이 나서 이르되 보라 하나님의 장막이 사람들과 함께 있으매 하나님이 그들과 함께 계시리니 그들은 하나님의 백성이 되고 하나님은 친히 그들과 함께 계셔서

계21:10~27(거룩한 성 예루살렘)

10 성령으로 나를 데리고 크고 높은 산으로 올라가 하나님께로부터 하늘에서 내려오는 거룩한 성 예루살렘을 보이니 11 하나님의 영광이 있어 그 성의 빛이 지극히 귀한 보석 같고 벽옥과 수정 같이 맑더라 12 크고 높은 성곽이 있고 열두 문이 있는데 문에 열두 천사가 있고 그 문들 위에 이름을 썼으니 이스라엘 자손 열두 지파의 이름들이라 13 동쪽에 세 문, 북쪽에 세 문, 남쪽에 세 문, 서쪽에 세 문이니 14 그 성의 성곽에는 열두 기초석이 있고 그 위에는 어린 양의 열두 사도의 열두 이름이 있더라 15 내게 말하는 자가 그 성과 그 문들과 성곽을 측량하려고 금 갈대 자를 가졌더라 16 그 성은 네모가 반듯하여 길이와 너비가 같은지라 그 갈대 자로 그 성을 측량하니 만 이천 스다디온이요 길이와 너비와 높이가 같더라 17 그 성곽을 측량하매 백사십사 규빗이니 사람의 측량 곧 천사의 측량이라 18 그 성곽은 벽옥으로 쌓였고 그 성은 정금인데 맑은 유리 같더라 19 그 성의 성곽의 기초석은 각색 보석으로 꾸몄는데 첫째 기초석은 벽옥이요 둘째는 남보석이요 셋째는 옥수요 넷째는 녹보석이요 20 다섯째는 홍마노요 여섯째는 홍보석이요 일곱째는 황옥이요 여덟째는 녹옥이요 아홉째는 담황옥이요 열째는 비취옥이요 열한째는 청옥이요 열두째는 자수정이라 21 그 열두 문은 열두 진주니 각 문마다 한 개의 진주로 되어 있고 성의 길은 맑은 유리 같은 정금이더라 22 성 안에서 내가 성전을 보지 못하였으니 이는 주 하나님 곧 전능하신 이와 및 어린 양이 그 성전이심이라 23 그 성은 해나 달의 비침이 쓸 데 없으니 이는 하나님의 영광이 비치고 어린 양이 그 등불이 되심이라 24 만국이 그 빛 가운데로 다니고 땅의 왕들이 자기 영광을 가지고 그리로 들어가리라 25 낮에 성문들을 도무지 닫지 아니하리니 거기에는 밤이 없음이라 26 사람들이 만국의 영광과 존귀를 가지고 그리로 들어가겠고 27 무엇이든지 속된 것이나 가증한 일 또는 거짓말하는 자는 결코 그리로 들어가지 못하되 오직 어린 양의 생명책에 기록된 자들만 들어가리라

The New Jerusalem

10 Then with the help of the Spirit, he took me to the top of a very high mountain. There he showed me the holy city of Jerusalem coming down from God in heaven. 11 The glory of God made the city bright. It was dazzling and crystal clear like a precious jasper stone. 12 The city had a high and thick wall with twelve gates, and each one of them was guarded by an angel. On each of the gates was written the name of one of the twelve tribes of Israel. 13 Three of these gates were on the east, three were on the north, three more were on the south, and the other three were on the west. 14 The city was built on twelve foundation stones. On each of the stones was written the name of one of the Lamb's twelve apostles. 15 The angel who spoke to me had a gold measuring stick to measure the city and its gates and its walls. 16 The city was shaped like a cube, because it was just as high as it was wide. When the angel measured the city, it was about fifteen hundred miles high and fifteen hundred miles wide. 17 Then the angel measured the wall, and by our measurements it was about two hundred sixteen feet high. 18 The wall was built of jasper, and the city was made of pure gold, clear as crystal. 19 Each of the twelve foundations was a precious stone. The first was jasper, the second was sapphire, the third was agate, the fourth was emerald, 20 the fifth was onyx, the sixth was carnelian, the seventh was chrysolite, the eighth was beryl, the ninth was topaz, the tenth was chrysoprase, the eleventh was jacinth, and the twelfth was amethyst. 21 Each of the twelve gates was a solid pearl. The streets of the city were made of pure gold, clear as crystal. 22 I did not see a temple there. The Lord God All-Powerful and the Lamb were its temple. 23 And the city did not need the sun or the moon. The glory of God was shining on it, and the Lamb was its light. 24 Nations will walk by the light of that city, and kings will bring their riches there. 25 Its gates are always open during the day, and night never comes. 26 The glorious treasures of nations will be brought into the city. 27 But nothing unworthy will be allowed to enter. No one who is dirty-minded or who tells lies will be there. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life will be in the city.

계22:1~2

1 또 그가 수정 같이 맑은 생명수의 강을 내게 보이니 하나님과 및 어린 양의 보좌로부터 나와서 2 길 가운데로 흐르더라 강 좌우에 생명나무가 있어 열두 가지 열매를 맺되 달마다 그 열매를 맺고 그 나무 잎사귀들은 만국을 치료하기 위하여 있더라

1 The angel showed me a river that was crystal clear, and its waters gave life. The river came from the throne where God and the Lamb were seated. 2 Then it flowed down the middle of the city's main street. On each side of the river are trees that grow a different kind of fruit each month of the year. The fruit gives life, and the leaves are used as medicine to heal the nations.

10. 천국의 내부적(內部的) 모습의 실재(實在)

계21:3~7

3 내가 들으니 보좌에서 큰 음성이 나서 이르되 보라 하나님의 장막이 사람들과 함께 있으매 하나님이 그들과 함께 계시리니 그들은 하나님의 백성이 되고 하나님은 친히 그들과 함께 계셔서 4 모든 눈물을 그 눈에서 닦아 주시니 다시는 사망이 없고 애통하는 것이나 곡하는 것이나 아픈 것이 다시 있지 아니하리니 처음 것들이 다 지나갔음이러라 5 보좌에 앉으신 이가 이르시되 보라 내가 만물을 새롭게 하노라 하시고 또 이르시되 이 말은 신실하고 참되니 기록하라 하시고 6 또 내게 말씀하시되 이루었도다 나는 알파와 오메가요 처음과 마지막이라 내가 생명수 샘물을 목마른 자에게 값없이 주리니 7 이기는 자는 이것들을 상속으로 받으리라 나는 그의 하나님이 되고 그는 내 아들이 되리라

3 I heard a loud voice shout from the throne: God's home is now with his people. He will live with them, and they will be his own. Yes, God will make his home among his people. 4 He will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain. These things of the past are gone forever. 5 Then the one sitting on the throne said: I am making everything new. Write down what I have said. My words are true and can be trusted. 6 Everything is finished! I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will freely give water from the life-giving fountain to everyone who is thirsty. 7 All who win the victory will be given these blessings. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

계22:3~5

3 다시 저주가 없으며 하나님과 그 어린 양의 보좌가 그 가운데에 있으리니 그의 종들이 그를 섬기며 4 그의 얼굴을 볼 터이요 그의 이름도 그들의 이마에 있으리라 5 다시 밤이 없겠고 등불과 햇빛이 쓸 데 없으니 이는 주 하나님이 그들에게 비치심이라 그들이 세세토록 왕 노릇 하리로다

3 God's curse will no longer be on the people of that city. He and the Lamb will be seated there on their thrones, and its people will worship God 4 and will see him face to face. God's name will be written on the foreheads of the people. 5 Never again will night appear, and no one who lives there will ever need a lamp or the sun. The Lord God will be their light, and they will rule forever.

11. 내가 진실로 속히 오리라 : 주님의 재림

*“내가 진실로 속히 오리라”는 의미는 그 때가 되면 지체하지 않고 속히 오신다는 뜻이다.

계22:10~21

10 또 내게 말하되 이 두루마리의 예언의 말씀을 인봉하지 말라 때가 가까우니라 11 불의를 행하는 자는 그대로 불의를 행하고 더러운 자는 그대로 더럽고 의로운 자는 그대로 의를 행하고 거룩한 자는 그대로 거룩하게 하라 12 보라 내가 속히 오리니 내가 줄 상이 내게 있어 각 사람에게 그가 행한 대로 갚아 주리라 13 나는 알파와 오메가요 처음과 마지막이요 시작과 마침이라 14 자기 두루마기를 빠는 자들은 복이 있으니 이는 그들이 생명나무에 나아가며 문들을 통하여 성에 들어갈 권세를 받으려 함이로다 15 개들과 점술가들과 음행하는 자들과 살인자들과 우상 숭배자들과 및 거짓말을 좋아하며 지어내는 자는 다 성 밖에 있으리라 16 나 예수는 교회들을 위하여 내 사자를 보내어 이것들을 너희에게 증언하게 하였노라 나는 다윗의 뿌리요 자손이니 곧 광명한 새벽 별이라 하시더라 17 성령과 신부가 말씀하시기를 오라 하시는도다 듣는 자도 오라 할 것이요 목마른 자도 올 것이요 또 원하는 자는 값없이 생명수를 받으라 하시더라 18 내가 이 두루마리의 예언의 말씀을 듣는 모든 사람에게 증언하노니 만일 누구든지 이것들 외에 더하면 하나님이 이 두루마리에 기록된 재앙들을 그에게 더하실 것이요 19 만일 누구든지 이 두루마리의 예언의 말씀에서 제하여 버리면 하나님이 이 두루마리에 기록된 생명나무와 및 거룩한 성에 참여함을 제하여 버리시리라 20 이것들을 증언하신 이가 이르시되 내가 진실로 속히 오리라 하시거늘 아멘 주 예수여 오시옵소서 21 주 예수의 은혜가 모든 자들에게 있을지어다 아멘

The Coming of Christ

10 Don't keep the prophecies in this book a secret. These things will happen soon. 11 Evil people will keep on being evil, and everyone who is dirty-minded will still be dirty-minded. But good people will keep on doing right, and God's people will always be holy. 12 Then I was told: I am coming soon! And when I come, I will reward everyone for what they have done. 13 I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. 14 God will bless all who have washed their robes. They will each have the right to eat fruit from the tree that gives life, and they can enter the gates of the city. 15 But outside the city will be dogs, witches, immoral people, murderers, idol worshipers, and everyone who loves to tell lies and do wrong. 16 I am Jesus! And I am the one who sent my angel to tell all of you these things for the churches. I am David's Great Descendant, and I am also the bright morning star. 17 The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!"Everyone who hears this should say, "Come!"If you are thirsty, come! If you want life-giving water, come and take it. It's free! 18 Here is my warning for everyone who hears the prophecies in this book: If you add anything to them, God will make you suffer all the terrible troubles written in this book. 19 If you take anything away from these prophecies, God will not let you have part in the life-giving tree and in the holy city described in this book. 20 The one who has spoken these things says, "I am coming soon!"So, Lord Jesus, please come soon! 21 I pray that the Lord Jesus will be kind to all of you.

12. 왜 죽음을 두려워하는가?

진리를 모르니까 두려워하는 것이다. 진리를 알면 두려워하지 않는다. 오히려 자유하게 된다.

그리스도인들이여! 죽음의 두려움이 들 때마다 이 약속의 말씀을 읽고, 또 읽으면서 믿음으로 승리하시기 바랍니다.

요8:32 진리를 알지니 진리가 너희를 자유롭게 하리라

You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

요14:1~3

1 너희는 마음에 근심하지 말라 하나님을 믿으니 또 나를 믿으라 2 내 아버지 집에 거할 곳이 많도다 그렇지 않으면 너희에게 일렀으리라 내가 너희를 위하여 거처를 예비하러 가노니 3 가서 너희를 위하여 거처를 예비하면 내가 다시 와서 너희를 내게로 영접하여 나 있는 곳에 너희도 있게 하리라

1 Jesus said to his disciples, "Don't be worried! Have faith in God and have faith in me. 2 There are many rooms in my Father's house. I wouldn't tell you this, unless it was true. I am going there to prepare a place for each of you. 3 After I have done this, I will come back and take you with me. Then we will be together.
