For what purpose did the law intervene? (Romans 5:20-21)
A certain pastor claims that he gains power only after receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
No, since the baptism of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:13) is an absolute requirement to become one with Christ in the Holy Spirit, you must receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit to receive salvation and serve Christ as Lord, not to exercise power. (Acts 2:38)
If the anointing of the Holy Spirit resides in him, because he dwells in the Son and in the Father, he will receive eternal life, born again, justification, holyness, and access to glory through glory are all resolved.
Therefore, like some pastors, if we preach sermons such as saying that we who believe in Jesus should live differently from the world and that we should be more honest and truthful than others
It's trouble.
Because the righteous who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord live by faith.
Q. What is the role of the law?
“Moreover The law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound.” (Romans 5:20)
A. The law is to make sin sin.
There was no sin in the human concept, but sin had been passed down from Adam, and the law intervened.
In order to increase human offence... If there is no lane as if a violation of the law is not known, the law intervenes , so grace overflowing salvation occurs where there is a lot of sin.
The meaning of abounded grace is that, as the saying, love covers abound sins, those who were found to be sinners according to the law were embraced by his grace in Christ and wrapped them in a life-swaddle.
Therefore, if there is no law, the grace of forgiveness of sins does not become grace.
“That as sin has reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 5:21)
Sin reigns in death, and grace reigns through righteousness.
This is eternal life.
It means that Adam is the figure of the one to come, that is, they are symmetrical to each other.
Paul, who said 'through our Lord Jesus Christ', has this conviction.
In other words, no matter how overflowing sin is, no matter how much sin reigns in death, because the overflowing blessing is in the gospel so that anyone can rule as king through righteousness by grace of Jesus Christ and lead to eternal life through the Lord Jesus Christ, he is full of confidence that he can save anyone enough just by coming.
If there is anyone else who thinks, 'Such a filthy sinner will not be saved'?
No, the worse the sinner, the better it is to be saved.
Humans must feel their own limitations.
When he surrenders thinking that there is something wrong with him, then the handling of sin is so simple.
Through this book of Romans, Paul deals with sin and death very simply by Jesus Christ.
But are you afraid that if you make it that simple, then you won't sin again?
Leave it to God.
It never happens because the grace is great.
And I hate the old days of being in darkness, so I won't go back into darkness.
A person who wears clean clothes never wears dirty clothes again and if he eats good food, he will not eat bad food.
Therefore, by the gospel of Christ, deal with sin simply.
Man has both natural sin and structural sin.
Natural sin is the sin that humans originally have.
On the other hand, a structural sin is that, for example, the price of a house or land is too high, and I want to live honestly, but I have no choice but to speculate in order to save the house.
Or, I want to pay all the taxes, but the current tax system is at a loss for those who pay all the taxes. Other people don't do that, but if I do it, it's a loss.
This is a structural sin.
Society is now full of structural sins.
The difference between developed and underdeveloped countries depends on how much this structural sin is eliminated.
The idea that money should be made even through financial fraud and political lobbying, and there are no politicians or high-ranking officials who do not move in undercover because of their children's schools.
How do you stop all of this?
No law can stop it.
Of course, the brighter our social system becomes and the more advanced we become, the fewer these structural sins will be and the more we will purify our society.
It will be an egalitarian society.
When we keep Sunday worship, we play a role in reducing structural evil to others.
It shows the neighbors that living like that is happiness.
However, human beings, by their own nature, live by greed and make excuses for themselves.
He is a hypocrite, and sin creeps in him and makes him a weirdo.
Looking back, what message does Romans 5 give us?
It is the symmetry between Adam and Christ.
As representative to representative, sin and righteousness, death and life are symmetrically listed, and the fact that we have passed into Christ is clearly enumerated.
So what about chapter 6?
If I have come over to Christ in that way, what kind of relationship do I have with the Christ whom I have met after I have come over?
The answer is Chapter 6.
Romans is connected and connected like this, and we are building up our faith.
