- 영한 : (병이나 부상으로) 침대에 누워있다.

- 활용 : lay somebody up - (병·부상으로 일 등을 하지 못하게) ~를 드러눕게/꼼짝을 못하게 하다.

Matthew: No, your apartment is too noisy.
매튜: 아니, 너희 아파트는 너무 시끄러워서.

Paul: Okay. Do you want to study at your house?
폴: 알았어. 너희 집에서 하고 싶어?

Matthew: Yes. It's much quieter.
매튜: 응. 훨씬 조용하잖아.

Paul: What time do you want to start?
폴: 언제 시작할까?

Matthew: Let's start a little after 6:00.
매튜: 6시 조금 지나서 시작하자.

Paul: Okay. I'll see you then.
폴: 알았어. 그 때 보자.
