이재명 대통령이 19일부터 24일까지 5박 6일 일정으로 인도와 베트남을 각각 국빈 방문한다. 위성락 국가안보실장은 16일 브리핑에서 순방 일정을 공식 발표했다.

이 대통령은 우선 19일부터 21일까지 나렌드라 모디 인도 총리의 초청으로 인도 뉴델리를 방문한다. 우리나라 대통령의 인도 방문은 8년 만이다. 이 대통령은 모디 총리와 정상회담, 양해각서(MOU) 교환식, 공동 언론 발표를 진행하고, 모디 총리가 주최하는 오찬에도 참석한다.

이 대통령은 이번 순방을 통해 세계 4위의 경제 규모를 가진 인도와 경제 협력을 강화하고, 중동 전쟁 대처 방안도 논의할 예정이다. 위 실장은 “조선해양, 금융, 인공지능(AI), 방산 등 전략 분야에서 신규 협력 사업을 통해 경제 협력의 새로운 장을 열어나갈 것”이라며 “중동 전쟁 등으로 격변하는 국제 정세 속에서 에너지·공급망 관련 긴밀한 공조를 유지할 것”이라고 했다.

이 대통령은 21일부터 24일까지는 베트남 하노이를 방문해 권력 서열 1위인 또 럼(To Lam) 공산당 서기장과 정상회담 및 국빈 만찬을 갖는다. 위 실장은 “원전 등 국가 발전의 핵심 분야에서 호혜적·전략적 협력을 강화하고 에너지·공급망 안정, 핵심 광물 협력 등 경제 안보 파트너십 구축을 위한 소통도 강화할 것”이라고 했다.

이번 순방에는 국내 주요 그룹 총수들을 포함해 200여 명이 경제 사절단으로 동행한다. 순방 현지에서 비즈니스 포럼이 열리고, 대규모 투자 발표도 있을 것으로 전해졌다.

President Lee Jae Myung will embark on a five-night, six-day state visit to India and Vietnam from the 19th to the 24th. National Security Adviser Wi Sung-lac officially announced the itinerary during a briefing on the 16th.
The president will first visit New Delhi, India, from the 19th to the 21st at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. From the 21st to the 24th, President Lee will visit Hanoi, Vietnam, to hold a summit and state banquet with Communist Party General Secretary Tô Lâm, To Lam, the country’s top leader. Adviser Wi added, “We will strengthen mutually beneficial and strategic cooperation in key areas of national development, such as nuclear energy, and enhance communication to build an economic security partnership focused on energy and supply chain stability, as well as critical mineral cooperation.”
