In Buddhism, the first step on the path of a saint is through a practice.
There are three shackles that must be broken to become a Sudawon.
Yushin 견, 계금치견, 의심.
This is a misconception that the Yushin 견 considers the body and mind to be me.
The 견-spotted 견 is obsessed with the belief that enlightenment can be achieved through precepts or rituals alone.
Doubt is to have doubts about the Buddha and his teachings, the Sangha and the path of practice.
Among them, the key is the first shackle, the Yushin dog.
Then why can't a commoner become a "sudawon"?
I understand Mua in my head, but...
In reality, they still consider their body and mind as themselves.
Because they are obsessed.
When someone criticizes me, I get angry, saying they ignored me.
When I'm sick, I suffer, saying I'm sick.
This is a reaction that arises because one has not realized selflessness.
Buddha is the one who has always been known for his knowledge.
From "The Characteristics of the Self-Esteem"
The five-on, consisting of the body, feeling, awareness, intention, and consciousness, is...
Possessing the nature of impermanence and suffering
You taught that I cannot be called myself or my ego.
Consider a car.
Although various parts come together to form a car,
No single part can be called a car.
Similarly, our bodies and minds are created and change according to various conditions.
It cannot be said that there is a separate, immutable self within it.
However, knowing selflessness as knowledge and...
In reality, what we gain is different.
Knowing the way from a map and
Walking that road yourself is...
It's like any other.
So what should we do?
First, the phenomena that occur in the body and mind in everyday life...
Sati
In other words, you need to observe through awareness.
For example, when you have pain in your body
Before being swept away by the pain, you first notice that there is pain.
And examine the nature of the pain, whether it's aching, stabbing, or throbbing.
Observe how the intensity of the pain changes, whether it intensifies or weakens.
If you still experience unpleasant feelings or fear or irritation due to pain, you will also notice those mental reactions.
If you carefully observe the pain in the body and the reactions of the mind like this,
They don't stay fixed, but rather...
I can understand that it changes depending on various conditions.
Based on these observations,
The impermanence, self-impartment, and selflessness of the five and all.
It is about wisely gaining insight.
Ultimately, the reason why ordinary people cannot become a "sudawon" is that even if they understand the teachings of selflessness with their minds, they still cling to them, regarding their body and mind as themselves.
Therefore, by applying the teachings of selflessness to my life, I can correctly understand the impermanence of the five and all selflessness, and I am myself in body and mind. It is important to break free from misconceptions here.
