Hello, everyone.
My name is ChaeWon.
I'm a first-grade student at Naju High School.
It's hasn't been a month since I became a high high school student, so I'm not used to high school life yet.
But I'm trying to get used to it gradually.
At first, it felt difficult to make friends.
But with courage, I approached people first.
As a result, I made friends, and it made me feel happy.
l'm really looking forward to my new school life.
From now on, I'll tell you about me and my dream.
Actually, I didn't have any dreams until I entered high school.
At that time, all my friends around me were already looking for their career paths and moving toward their dreams, but I felt stagnant because I was the only one who could not make future plans.
Then, as I encountered various career experiences and club activites, l finally had a dream.
My dream is to be a nurse.
Now that I think about it, I've liked to participate in volunteer work and help others.
I believe this is the reason why I was more attracted to become a nurse.
Also, I like to sleep, read books, and listen to music.
Sleeping and listening to music relaxes my mind, and reading books in creases my knowledge in various fields.
I recently learnd more about the nursing profession by reading a book about the history of nurses, pharmacists, and veterinarians.
I have two figures I admire.
I have nurse Lee Jung-ae and nurse Margaret Edmunds as role models.
Let me tell you about my two role models for a moment.
Nurse Lee Jung-ae passed on the nursing system that she learned abroad to Korean nurses.
In addition, she worked hard to develop nursing education in Korea even while fighting cancer.
She valued responsibility, wisdom, and patience as a nurse.
Nurse Margaret Edmunds volunteered to promote nursing education in Choson.
She was the first person to set up a nursing school in Choson.
She also created the first nursing association in Choson and published the first Korean language nursing textbook.
I want to emulate them and become a faithful and competent nurse in the future.
To become a nurse in the future, I must be good at math, science, and English.
And I also have a sense of responsibility, sincerity, and consideration for patients.
But I'm not good at math and science.
So, I study for more than two hours every day to make up for my shortcomings and steadily participate in volunteer activites to develop a sense of responsibility.
In order to get closer to my dream of becoming a nurse, I joined a medical club and am doing various activites such as writing medical articles.
What I really want is to make the most of this year by working for my goals and relying on and encouraging my classmates.
Thank you for reading my self-introduction.
Poem
Butterfly
It's okay if you don't have a dream yet. You're a caterpilar.
It's okay if you slower than others. You're a pupa.
If you found your dream, fine. You're a butterfly.
You have to decide where to fly and what to fly towards. You're a dreaming butterfly.
I will fly to help my family and friends not to get sick. I'm a butterfly dreaming of becoming a nurse.
If you decided on your dream, let's fly with me. We're flying butterflies.
:)
