The White House is starting to withdraw pending regulations that have gone through a lengthy process  but won't be finalized by the time president Biden leaves office.

That prevents the incoming Trump administraion from rewriting the regulations to advance his agenda more quickly.

Biden's abandoning his efforts to cancel student's loan for more than 38 million Americans.

but The Education department says it's clearing loans for 55000 public service workers like teachers, nurses and law enforcement to through 2027 program.

Another rule facing withdrawal is a modification of title IX that would have prevented schools from issuing blanket bans against transgender athletes.
