2026.8.30(주일) 오늘의 말씀카드, 365묵상글, 예산수정교회

1. 오늘의 묵상칼럼 : 주어(主語)를 바꾸는 신앙의 전환

   사도행전 1장 2절은 예수께서 "택하신 사도들에게 성령으로 명하시고 승천하신 날까지의 일"을 기록했다고 전합니다. 초대교회의 역동적인 역사는 사도들의 열심이나 탁월한 능력으로 시작된 것이 아니라, 부활하신 주님이 성령을 통해 그들을 이끄신 일에서 출발했습니다. 복음의 주어는 언제나 '내'가 아니라 '주님'이십니다.

   오스왈드 챔버스는 "하나님께서 당신을 통해 하시는 일이 중요하지, 당신이 주를 위해 하는 일은 결코 중요하지 않다"고 역설했습니다. 우리는 종종 '주를 위해 내가 무엇을 이룰 것인가'에 몰두하며 사역의 성패와 분주함 속에서 자신의 존재 가치를 찾으려 합니다. 그러나 예수께서는 사역의 열매와 영적 승리에 고무된 제자들에게 "귀신들이 너희에게 항복하는 것으로 기뻐하지 말고 너희 이름이 하늘에 기록된 것으로 기뻐하라"(눅 10:20)고 말씀하셨습니다. 성과의 성취보다 하나님과의 올바른 관계 안에 머무는 것이 신앙의 본질이기 때문입니다.

  참된 영성은 내가 주님을 위해 거대한 계획을 세우고 뛰어드는 것이 아니라, 성령의 인도하심 앞에 온전히 나를 내어드려 주님이 일하시도록 통로가 되어드리는 것입니다. 오늘도 '내가 하는 일'의 무게를 내려놓고, '주님이 나를 통해 이루시는 일'을 기대하며 하나님의 은혜 안에 머무는 하루가 되기를 소망합니다.

2. 오늘의 묵상칼럼(영어버전) : Shifting the Subject of Faith

   Acts 1:2 records the work of Jesus "until the day when He was taken up to heaven, after He had given orders by the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom He had chosen." The vibrant history of the early Church was not birthed from the sheer zeal or exceptional competence of the apostles, but from the risen Lord directing them through the Holy Spirit. In the narrative of the Gospel, the subject is never "I," but always "the Lord."

   Oswald Chambers insightfully reminds us: "It is not what you do for God that matters, but what God does through you." We frequently get caught up in the ambition of what we can accomplish for God, anchoring our worth in busyness and outward success. Yet Jesus redirected His disciples when they were elated by visible breakthroughs, saying, "Do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven" (Luke 10:20). Abiding in a restored relationship with God far surpasses the thrill of personal achievement.

  True spirituality does not mean striving to execute grand plans for God; it means surrendering ourselves to the Holy Spirit so that Christ can freely work through us. Today, let us lay down the burden of what we must achieve for Him, resting securely in His grace and allowing Him to be the true Author of our lives.
