The Concerns of the Disciples

For the disciples, the image of the Messiah they thought did not match what Jesus said. They have the idea that Jesus will become the king of the world and they will take a seat on his left and right.

We say we believe in Jesus, but we are not interested in what Jesus said to us or what he went through, and we follow what we think of Jesus, the church, and life.

What Jesus says are things that are difficult for us to handle. We have no choice but to endure it with the grace of Jesus. If they want to follow, He lets them follow; if they don't, they can’t follow.
