대전의 정신병력이 있는 한 여교사가 교직복귀를 시켜주지않는다고 7세 소녀를 살해했습니다.

경찰과 지역 교육당국에 따르면 이 교사는 2024년 12월 9일부터 우울증 증상으로 휴직했다고 합니다.

이런 일이 다시는 일어나지않도록 교육부와 관계당국은 대책을 마련해야겠습니다.

A teacher in Daejeon said she stabbed a 7-year-old girl to death at school because she was angry for not being allowed to teach students after returning to work, according to the police on Tuesday.

화요일 경찰에 따르면 대전의 한 교사는 복직후 학생들을 가르치지 못한 것에 화가 나서 학교에서 7세 소녀를 찔러 죽였다고 한다.

The Daejeon Seobu Police Station said the suspect was being investigated after confessing to killing the student at an elementary school on Monday. The two did not know each other beforehand, police added.

대전 서부경찰서는 용의자가 월요일 초등학교에서 학생을 살해했다고 자백한 후 조사를 받고 있다고 밝혔다. 두 사람은 사전에 서로 알지 못했다고 경찰은 덧붙였다.

Police found the victim, Kim Ha-neul, unconscious with many stab wounds inside the audiovisual room on the second floor of the school building, along with the teacher who was also bleeding.

경찰은 피해자 김하늘이 학교 건물 2층 시청각실에서 많은 자상을 입고 의식을 잃은 채 피를 흘리고 있는 교사를 발견했다.

The girl was immediately transported to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead as a result of blood loss.

소녀는 즉시 인근 병원으로 이송되었고, 출혈로 인해 사망 판정을 받았다.

The teacher, who was conscious at that time, was taken to an operating room where she was treated for what appeared to be self-sustained injuries.

당시 의식이 있던 선생님은 수술실로 옮겨져 자해로 보이는 부상으로 치료를 받았다.

The suspect told police that she lured Kim into the room by offering her a book, then strangled and stabbed the girl, police said.

용의자는 경찰에 김양에게 책을 권하며 방으로 유인한 후 목을 졸라 여자아이를 찔렀다고 진술했다고 경찰은 밝혔다.

The teacher said she was angry for being prohibited from teaching. She said she was angry at the vice principal who made that decision. Police said they are looking into that claim.

교사는 수업이 금지된 것에 대해 화가 났다고 말했다. 그녀는 그런 결정을 내린 교감에게 화가 났다고 말했다. 경찰은 해당 주장을 조사 중이라고 밝혔다.

The suspect said she was looking for a student to target randomly, according to police. She had simply planned to attack the last student coming out of the classroom, and Kim was unfortunate to be the last child to leave that day. The suspect also claimed she planned to kill herself afterward.

경찰에 따르면 용의자는 무작위로 표적을 삼을 학생을 찾고 있다고 말했다. 그녀는 교실에서 나오는 마지막 학생을 공격할 계획이었을 뿐이며, 김양은 그날 마지막으로 떠난 아이가 되어 안타까웠다. 용의자는 또한 이후 자살할 계획이었다고 주장했다.

Police said they found that the suspect had bought a knife at a store near the school during the lunch break, hours before the attack.

경찰은 용의자가 범행 몇 시간 전 점심시간에 학교 근처 상점에서 칼을 구입한 것을 발견했다고 밝혔다.

Investigators said they will detain her for further questioning on suspicion of premeditated murder.

Kim was waiting for a shuttle bus to arrive after the school's after-school program ended. When she did not show up at 4:40 p.m. for her private art class, the academy called her family about 10 minutes later, which alarmed them and prompted a police search.

김양은 방과 후 학교 프로그램이 끝난 후 셔틀버스가 도착하기를 기다리고 있었다. 오후 4시 40분에 개인 미술 수업을 위해 나타나지 않자 학원 측에서 약 10분 후 가족에게 전화를 걸어 놀라움을 금치 못했고 경찰의 수색이 시작되었다.

Kim’s father said he sensed that she could be in danger as he heard unusual sounds in real time through an app installed in her mobile phone.

김 양의 아버지는 휴대폰에 설치된 앱을 통해 실시간으로 비정상적인 소리를 들었기 때문에 김 양이가 위험에 처할 수 있다는 것을 느꼈다고 말했다.

“From 4:50 p.m., I didn’t hear Ha-neul’s voice. I could only hear a gasping sound from an old lady as if she was panting after running, as well as sounds of someone opening and closing a drawer and unzipping something like a bag,” he told reporters.

그는 기자들에게 "오후 4시 50분부터 하늘이의 목소리는 들리지 않았다. 뛰어간 후 헐떡이는 듯한 나이든 여자가 헐떡이는 소리와 서랍을 열고 닫는 소리, 가방 같은 걸 푸는 소리만 들렸다"고 말했다.

About an hour later, Kim's grandmother found the teacher at the audiovisual room covered with blood, so she alerted police officers to search her and the room, where they also found the girl.

약 한 시간 후, 김 양의 할머니는 시청각실에서 피투성이가 된 선생님을 발견했다. 그래서 그녀는 경찰관들에게 그녀와 방을 수색하라고 경고했고, 그곳에서 그 소녀도 발견했다.

According to the police and the regional education authority, the teacher took a leave of absence from Dec. 9, 2024, over symptoms of depression. She was expected to take six months off, but came back after about 20 days, expressing her intention to return to work early and submitting a medical certificate claiming she was ready to return to the classroom, according to an official at the Daejeon Metropolitan City Office of Education.

경찰과 지역 교육당국에 따르면 이 교사는 2024년 12월 9일부터 우울증 증상으로 휴직했다. 대전광역시교육청 관계자에 따르면 이 교사는 6개월간 휴직할 예정이었지만 약 20일 만에 복귀해 조기 복직의사를 밝히고 교실 복귀 준비가 완료됐다는 진단서를 제출했다고 한다.

Only four days before the killing, the suspect showed violent behavior toward a colleague after simply being asked how she was doing.

살해 나흘 전, 용의자는 단순히 동료에게 안부를 묻는 질문을 받은 후 폭력적인 행동을 보였다.

According to Kim’s father, dozens of stab wounds were found all over the child's body, including on her hands — indicating that she resisted.

김 양의 아버지에 따르면, 손을 포함한 아이의 몸 전체에서 수십 개의 자상이 발견되어 그녀가 저항했음을 나타낸다.

“Police told me not to look at my daughter’s body at the storage (inside the audiovisual room) because it would be difficult … My daughter became a star in the sky. There should never be another case like Ha-neul’s,” the father said. “I hope the government will come up with measures to prevent such incidents from happening again by pushing to revise the law or strengthen rules on teachers with a history of mental health problems.”

"경찰이 어려울 테니 (시청각실 안) 보관소에서 딸의 시신을 보지 말라고 했는데… 딸이 하늘의 별이 됐어요. 하늘이 사건 같은 일이 다시는 일어나서는 안 된다"고 아버지는 말했다. 이어 "정부가 정신건강 문제 이력이 있는 교사에 대한 법 개정이나 규칙 강화를 추진해 이런 일이 다시는 발생하지 않도록 대책을 마련해주길 바란다"고 덧붙였다.

Police said they asked the National Forensic Service to conduct an autopsy on Kim’s body to find the exact cause of her death.

경찰은 김 양의 정확한 사망 원인을 찾기 위해 국립과학수사연구원에 시신 부검을 의뢰했다고 밝혔다.
