(Eph 3:2–12; Lk 12:39–48): Entrust Yourself to Me, That I May Proclaim You
“I entrust everything to You.”
My dear brothers and sisters, this is my daily prayer—that our steps, our dreams and plans, our present and our future, and every place we reach may be aligned solely with the Lord’s will. It is my deepest desire that in my words, my eyes, my encounters, and within the quiet spaces of our relationships, I may bear witness to the living presence of the Lord and proclaim His Good News.
In Ephesians 3:7, Saint Paul writes: “Of this I became a minister by the gift of God’s grace that was granted me in accord with the exercise of his power.”
As I look back on the journey through which the Lord has chosen and guided me, I realize that it was never built upon my own qualifications or abilities. Rather, it is the result of His gaze upon my lowliness—so that I, too, might humble myself toward the Lord who sought out the lowest places. It is nothing less than the loving providence of God, filling us with grace to transform us and use us as His instruments.
In verses 10 and 11, we are invited to ponder these words once more: “so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the principalities and authorities in the heavens. This was according to the eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Indeed, as those sustained by the Lord’s love, we must never forget that we are called to be instruments of His divine mystery and to bear the responsibility of conveying His grace. We are called to nurture and shine forth the gift of love God has entrusted to us, keeping it true to its sacred beauty and fragrance.
Therefore, each of us must cherish the task of steeping the soul planted by God in “a light that holds true beauty” and keeping it fresh with unblemished purity. This means remaining vigilantly and gently awake to be transformed by the Word, never losing a balanced, evangelical perspective amidst the complexities of this world. It means deepening our experience of the Word, adding love to our daily lives, and enriching each day as a faithful and precious blessing so that the joyous grace offered to all believers may grow ever deeper.
As Jesus reminds us in Luke 12:40: “You also must be prepared, for at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come.”
On this day, let us pray for a heart that entrusts everything to Him in every moment—a heart eager to fulfill, with love, our blessed duty of offering refreshing drink and nourishing spiritual food to those who are spiritually thirsty and hungry.
Lord, here I am. Entrust the fountain of Your life to this humble vessel that I am. Amen.
