Instead of spending all our time /obsessing over some earthly thing //that won’t help us in eternity,

why don’t we devote ourselves /to what God wants [us] [to do]?

If we spent as much time /reading God’s Word /as we do /scrolling on our phones,

imagine [how different our lives would be]!

* 이중 전치사 Instead of ; in place of, as a substitute for, or as an alternative to something else.

* 전목인 동명사구 spending all our time /obsessing over some earthly thing //that won’t help us in eternity, 

* 형역 현분사구 /obsessing over some earthly thing //that won’t help us in eternity, 

* obsess over/about/with 어떤 것 또는 누군가가 당신을 사로잡다 즉 당신이 사로잡히다 ; you are obsessed over/about/with

* If something or someone obsesses you, or if you obsess about sth or sb, you think about it/him/her all the time.
