0327 Reach Out | 1 Timothy 5:3–4 | Pastor Jim Cymbala

Join Pastor Jim Cymbala for today’s daily devotional from 1 Timothy 5:3–4. 

Widows in Bible times were fairly destitute, so the church was to care for [them]. 

But some people tried [to take advantage of that system].

Today it’s still our duty [to reach out and care for the widows in our churches]

—especially those in our families!

Let’s have tender hearts toward the people //who need 

* 숙어 be + to 부정사 ; '~할 예정이다', '~해야 한다', '~할 수 있다' 등의 미래적 계획, 의무, 가능성, 운명을 의미함

* 주의 ; be는 숙어의 일부이므로 부정사가 본동사로 됨 ; was to care for 돌보기로 되어있다

* 주의 ; be + to 부정사에서 be가 본동사면 to 부정사는 보어가 됨 Our duty is to care for them. 우리의 의무는 돌보기이다  

* 목적격 인칭 대명사 them = Widows 

* 목적인 부정사구  [to take advantage of that system], 

* 숙어  take advantage of 의미와 예문 · 1. -을 이용하다, -을 기회로 활용하다 

* 가주어 it = 진주어인 부정사구 /to reach out and (to) care for the widows in our churches

* 주의 ;  it를 대신할  다른 명사가 없고 부정사를 주어로 대체하면 의미가 통함

* 5 형식 Let [us] [have tender hearts toward the people //who need] 

* 전목인 명사구  the people //who need (목),  명+형절/목적격 관대절
