Some Christians value [their denomination or Bible translation] /more than they value people.

But Jesus told [us] [to love our neighbors and pray for our enemies].

Christians are supposed to be known /by love, not by the friction () they cause.

Let’s ask the Lord to soften our hearts.

* 동사로 쓰인 value ; 소중히 여기다, 평가하다 (명사로는 가치, 중요성, 가격)

* 숙어 ; 부사절 접속사로 쓰인 more than ; /more than they value people. (부사+접속사+절)

* 주의 ; 숙어/부사구로 쓰인 more than : to a great degree : very, extremely (more than happy)

* 주의 ; more는 명사/대명사, 형용사, 부사 등 다양하게 쓰임 

   명 more will arrive shortly, 형 more guests arrived, 부 a couple of times more,

* 일반동사 5 형식 told [us] [to love our neighbors and pray for our enemies]. 목적이 목보하게 동사하다

* 일반동사 5 형식 ask [the Lord] [to soften our hearts].            목보는 to 부정사구

* 사역동사 5 형식 Let [us] [ask the Lord to soften our hearts]. 목보는 원형 부정사구 (to가 없이 쓰이는 부정사구)

*  to 없는 동사가 부정사가 되는 이유는 본동사로 Let이 쓰였고  ask는 동사가 할 수 없는 목보로 쓰였기에 원형 부정사구임

* 숙어 Are supposed to~ ; indicates an obligation, rule, or expectation ~하기로 되어 있다, ~해야 한다, ~인 것으로 여겨진다

* 주의 ; Are supposed to~에서 to 다음의 동사가 본동사가 되기에 Are supposed to는 조동사 역할로 이해하면 쉬움

* 수동태 be+pp ;  be known

* 전목인 명사구 the friction (that) they cause [목] 명+형절/목적격 관대절 (선행사=that=목적)
