Romans 6:12~23

12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.


13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.


14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.


15 What then Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means


16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness


17 But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance.


18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.


19 I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness.


20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness.


21 What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of Those things result in death


22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.


23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

로마서 6장 12절~23절

12 그러므로 죄가 인간의 몸에 군림하지 않도록 하여 그 악한 욕망에 순종하게 하지 마십시오.


13 악한 일의 도구로 죄의 일부를 바치지 말고, 죽음에서 살아난 자로서 하나님께 자신을 바치고 의로운 일의 모든 부분을 하나님께 바쳐야 합니다.


14 죄악은 더 이상 당신의 주인이 될 수 없습니다. 왜냐하면 당신은 법 아래 있는 것이 아니라 은혜 아래 있기 때문입니다.


15 그러면 우리는 법 아래 있는 것이 아니라 은혜 아래 있는 것이기 때문에 무엇을 죄를 지을까요? 결코 그렇지 않습니다


16 당신이 누군가에게 순종하는 노예로 자신을 바칠 때, 당신이 죄의 노예가 되든, 죽음의 노예가 되든, 의로움의 노예가 되든, 순종의 노예가 되든 상관없다는 것을 모르시나요


17 그러나 하나님께 감사드립니다. 비록 당신이 예전에는 죄의 노예였지만, 이제는 당신의 충성을 주장하는 가르침의 패턴을 마음에서 따르게 되었습니다.


18 당신은 죄에서 해방되어 정의의 노예가 되었습니다.


19 당신의 인간적인 한계 때문에 저는 일상 생활에서 본 예를 사용하고 있습니다. 예전에 당신이 불순함과 점점 더 악함에 노예로 바치던 것처럼, 이제 당신 자신을 정의에 노예로 바쳐 성스러움을 이끌어내세요.


20 당신이 죄의 노예였을 때, 당신은 정의의 통제에서 자유로워졌습니다.


21 그 당시 당신이 지금 부끄러워하는 것들로부터 어떤 이익을 얻었습니까? 그런 것들이 죽음을 초래합니다


22 그러나 이제 당신이 죄에서 벗어나 하나님의 노예가 되었으니, 당신이 얻는 이익은 거룩함으로 이어지고 그 결과는 영생입니다.


23 죄의 대가는 죽음이지만 하나님의 선물은 우리 주 그리스도 예수 안에서 영원한 생명입니다.
