Godliness is not about acquiring money, a new car, or any other physical item.

Some Christian leaders claim [that our earthly possessions are a reflection of our faith]

—but that’s false!

Would that teaching apply /to the saints /in third-world countries?

No way.

But the true teachings of the Bible are applicable /everywhere.

Let’s be alert for the truth and not worry /so much /about financial gain.

* 목적인 명사절  [that our earthly possessions are a reflection of our faith] 접속사+완전문

* 축약형 that’s = that is에서 that은 주어인 지시 대명사로 앞 절 내용을 대신함
