" Let's be a good Christian "

Friends, if I ask how many Christians are here? It looks strange and ridiculous question. Isn't it? In church christian gather not non-christians. Right after the resurrection of Jesus people who were believers called saints. Word Christian derived from word Christ.

Which mean followers of the Christ. Today, let's manifest ourselves that are we really good christians or we are christians by name? ----Let's see the meaning of Christian.

Christian. Christ -- I -- a -- n. Christ I am nothing

Dear friends, good christian mean. We've to give all authority of our lives to Christ. Last Sunday we saw that Pharisee praised himself not God. But tax collectors glorified God and humble himself. So Jesus preferred his prayer. Friends, only come to church on Sunday isn't enough. There are many other duties of christian to do. To be a real, true and good Christians. Let's analyse few of them.

Jesus said through John 15 : 8

This is to My Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be My disciples.

Friends, how we can be the true disciples of Christ? If we'll fulfill His will not our's.

1. Jesus want to Repent and believe.

Dear friends, Jesus Christ not started His ministry by healing sick people, by raising the deads or by feeding by hungry people. But Jesus Christ started His earthly ministry by preaching the repentance. Jesus gave a good news of freedom from sin and death. If we want to be real, good and true Christians.

Let's repent from our sins and accept Jesus Christ as our personal saviour & Son of God.

Matthew 4 : 17

From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."

Jesus not came in flesh for miracles but He born to give us a new life. In Jesus we are new. Our old has gone new has come. Jesus did miracles that people may believe in Him.

Matthew 4 : 23

Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.

There's a power in His name. There's victory in His name. There's a healing in His name.

Acts 3 : 6

Then Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk."

2. Jesus want to Fulfill Father's will.

Friends, majority of Christians want to fulfill there own will not Father's will. If we want to be the real and good Christians. If we want to be the real followers or the disciples of Jesus Christ. We've to fulfill the will of God the Father not our's. Jesus want from each of His disciple fulfill His Father's will.

Matthew 12 : 48 ~ 50

48 He replied to Him, "Who is My mother, and who are My brothers?"

49 Pointing to His disciples, He said, "Here are My mother and My brothers.

50 For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother."

Jesus prefer His disciples than His family. Why? Because His disciples fulfilled the will of God. Disciples accept Jesus as a Son of God and Saviour. But Jesus's family didn't accept Jesus as Saviour and Son of God. They didn't fulfill God's will. Friends

what is the will of God? God want that we've to repent our sins and accept Jesus as our personal Saviour & Son of God. Amen. - Friends, let's fulfill the will of God.

3. Jesus want to love, forgive, serve others.

Friends, third condition to be a Christian is that we've to love, serve & forgive others. If we love, serve and forgive others. We are real Christians. Jesus Christ taught us not verbally but He taught all these things practically. Jesus Christ love others, serve others and forgave all those who hurt Him and crucified Him. Do we?

John 13 : 34 ~ 35

34 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another."

Luke 23 : 34 (First Portion)

Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."

Matthew 20 : 28

just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.

4. Jesus want to make disciples.

Friends, final command of Jesus for all of us is that, we've to glorify His name to all nation. We've to evangelize Jesus as our personal Saviour, as a Son of God. Friends, evangelism is not only duty of pastors or evangelists. But we all who are called Christians must proclaim His name to all nation. If we can't evangelize by lips, then let's do it by our deeds. James said faith and deeds must goes together.

Matthew 28 : 19

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Conclusion.

Friends, let's be the real Christians not verbally but practically. Let's be like Jesus not verbally but practically. If we want to be real Christians let's take our cross and follow Jesus. Let's deny ourselves not Jesus. Judas Iscariot deceived Him and sold His master just for 30 silver coins. Peter denied three times before the rooster crows. Let's manifest ourselves. --- Do we deny Jesus or declare Jesus? ---

Where we are? Are we Christians by name or? Are we just Sunday Christians or?

Matthew 16 : 24

Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.

" 좋은 크리스천이 됩시다 "

여러분, 여기에 크리스천이 몇 명이 있냐고 제가 묻는다면 이상하고 어이없는 질문같이 보일 것입니다. 그렇죠? 교회에는 비크리스천이 아닌 크리스천이 모입니다. 예수님이 부활하신 직후에는 믿는 사람들을 성도라고 불렀고 크리스천이라는 말은 그리스도의 제자들을 의미하는 Christ 라는 단어에서 유래되었습니다. 오늘 우리가 정말로 좋은 크리스천인지 이름뿐인 크리스천인지 명백히 합시다. 크리스천의 의미를 알아봅시다.

Christian Christ--i--a--n Christ I am nothing (주님 저는 아무것도 아닙니다)

좋은 크리스천이란 우리 삶의 모든 권한를 그리스도께 드려야 함을 뜻합니다. 지난 주일 설교에서 바리새인은 하나님이 아닌 자기자신을 찬양하는 반면에 세리는 하나님께 영광돌리고 겸손하였음을 보았습니다. 그래서 하나님은 그의 기도를 더 좋아하셨습니다. 단지 일요일에 교회에 오는 것이 다가 아닙니다. 크리스천이 해야 할 다른 많은 의무가 있습니다. 정말로 진실하고 훌륭한 크리스천이 되기 위한 몇 가지를 검토해 봅시다.

요한복음 15 : 8 (에서 예수님은 말씀하셨습니다)

너희가 열매를 많이 맺으면 내 아버지께서 영광을 받으실 것이요 너희는 내 제자가 되리라

어떻게 진실한 그리스도의 제자가 될 수 있을까요? 우리 뜻이 아닌 하나님의 뜻을 행해야 합니다.

1. 예수님은 회개하고 믿기 원하십니다.

예수 그리스도는 그의 사역을 아픈 사람을 치유하고 죽은 사람을 일으키고 굶주린 사람을 먹이는 것으로 시작하지 않고 회개에 대해 설교함으로써 시작하셨습니다. 예수님은 죄와 죽음으로부터 자유의 복음을 주셨습니다. 진실하고 훌륭하고 참다운 크리스천이 되기 원한다면 죄를 회개하고 예수 그리스도를 우리 각자의 구원자, 하나님의 아들로 영접합시다.

마태복음 4 : 17

이때부터 예수께서 비로소 전파하여 이르시되 회개하라 천국이 가까이 왔느니라 하시더라

예수님은 기적을 보이기 위해서 육신으로 오신 것이 아니고 우리에게 새 생명을 주시기 위해 태어나셨습니다. 예수 안에서 우리는 새롭습니다. 옛것은 지나고 새것이 되었습니다.

예수님은 사람들이 그를 믿도록 기적을 행하셨습니다.

마태복음 4 : 23

예수께서 온 갈릴리에 두루 다니사 그들의 회당에서 가르치시며 천국 복음을 전파하시며 백성중의 모든 병과 모든 약한 것을 고치시니

그의 이름에 능력이 있고 승리가 있고 치유가 있습니다.

사도행전 3 : 6

베드로가 이르되 은과 금은 내게 없거니와 내게 있는 이것을 네게 주노니 나사렛 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 일어나 걸으라 하고

2. 예수님은 아버지의 뜻을 행하기 원하십니다.

대다수의 크리스천들이 아버지의 뜻이 아닌 자신의 뜻을 행하고자 합니다. 진실되고 좋은 크리스천이 되고자 한다면, 예수 그리스도의 진정한 제자가 되기 원한다면 하나님 아버지의 뜻을 행해야 합니다. 예수님은 그의 제자들 각자가 아버지의 뜻을 행하기 원하십니다.

마태복음 12 : 48 ~50

48 말하던 사람에게 대답하여 이르시되 누가 내 어머니며 내 동생들이냐 하시고.

49 손을 내밀어 제자들을 가리켜 이르시되 나의 어머니와 나의 동생들을 보라.

50 누구든지 하늘에 계신 내 아버지의 뜻대로 하는 자가 내 형제요 자매요 어머니이니라 하시더라.

예수님은 그의 가족보다 그의 제자들을 더 좋아하셨습니다. 왜일까요? 그의 제자들이 하나님의 뜻을 행했기 때문입니다. 제자들은 예수님을 하나님의 아들과 구원자로 영접했으나 예수님의 가족들은 영접하지 않았고 하나님의 뜻을 행하지 않았습니다. 하나님의 뜻은 무엇일까요? 하나님은 우리가 죄를 회개하고 예수를 우리 각자의 구원자, 하나님의 아들로 영접하기 원하십니다. - 아멘. ---- 여러분 하나님의 뜻을 행합시다.

3. 예수님은 다른 사람을 사랑하고 용서하고 섬기기 원하십니다.

크리스천이 되기 위한 세 번째 조건은 다른 사람을 사랑하고 섬기고 용서하는 것입니다. 우리가 다른 사람을 사랑하고 섬기고 용서한다면 우리는 진정한 크리스천입니다. 예수 그리스도는 말로가 아니라 실제 행동으로 우리에게 모든 것을 가르치셨습니다. 예수님은 다른 사람을 사랑하고, 섬기고, 그에게 상처주고 십자가에 못 박은 사람들을 용서하셨습니다. 우리는 어떻습니까?

요한복음 13 : 34 ~ 35

34 새 계명을 너희에게 주노니 서로 사랑하라 내가 너희를 사랑한 것같이 너희도 서로 사랑하라

35 너희가 서로 사랑하면 이로써 모든 사람이 너희가 내 제자인 줄 알리라

누가복음 23 : 34 (전반)

이에 예수께서 이르시되 아버지 저들을 사하여 주옵소서 자기들이 하는 것을 알지 못함이니이다

마태복음 20 : 28

인자가 온 것은 섬김을 받으려 함이 아니라 도리어 섬기려 하고 자기 목숨을 많은 사람의 대속물로 주려 함이니라

4. 예수님은 제자 삼기 원하십니다.

예수님이 우리 모두에게 하신 마지막 명령은 모든 민족에게 그의 이름에 영광을 돌리게 하라는 것입니다. 예수님을 우리 각자의 구세주로, 하나님의 아들로 전해야 합니다.

전도는 목사나 전도사의 의무뿐 아니라 크리스천이라 불리는 모든 사람들은 모든 민족에게 그의 이름을 나타내야 합니다. 입으로 전도할 수 없으면 행위로 합시다.

야고보는 믿음과 행함이 함께 가야 한다고 말했습니다.

마태복음 28 : 29

그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족을 제자로 삼아 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 세례를 베풀고

결론:-

말로만이 아닌 실제로 진정한 크리스천이 됩시다. 말로만이 아니라 행동으로 예수님처럼 삽시다. 참다운 크리스천이 되기 원한다면 우리의 십자가를 지고 예수님을 따릅시다. 예수님이 아니라 우리 자신을 부인합시다. 가룟유다는 은전 30에 주님을 팔기로 결심했습니다.

베드로는 닭이 울기 전에 세 번 부인했습니다.

우리는 예수님을 부인합니까? 아니면 예수님을 선포합니까? 우리자신을 명백히 합시다. 우리는 어디에 속합니까? 이름뿐인 크리스천입니까? 선데이 크리스천입니까?

마태복음 16 : 24

이에 예수께서 제자들에게 이르시되 누구든지 나를 따라오려거든 자기를 부인하고 자기 십자가를 지고 나를 따를 것이니라
