1977년 영국의 4인조 그룹「Queen」이 발매한 앨범

"News of the World"에 수록한 파워 발라드 곡으로 싱글로

발매되어 "스포츠가 전해주는 진한 감동을 고스란히 담고"

있습니다.

『We Are the Champions』는 영국 싱글 차트에서 2위에 올랐고,

미국의 빌 보드 싱글 차트에서는 4위에 그쳤지만, 노래가 가진

파급력은 차트 순위와는 상관없는 엄청난 힘을 지닌 채 스포츠

경기의 감동을 팝 팬들에게 전해주고 있습니다.

또한 「Queen」의 'We Will Rock You'와 함께 『We Are the

Champions』은 우리나라에서도 많은 사랑을 받고 있는데,

이 두 곡 이후 「Queen」은 우리나라 에서 가장 사랑 받는 밴드

1위 자리를 굳건히 다지게 됩니다.
