Join [Pastor Jim Cymbala] /for today’s daily devotional /from 2 Timothy 1:2.

We can ask [God our Father] /for whatever we’re lacking.

He loves [to help His children], and He wants [to see us living in peace]!

If we need more grace, mercy, or peace, [all () we have to do] is () follow God’s leading.

There are so many gifts /from the Holy Spirit /for us—let’s ask Him for what we need.

* 전목인 의문사절  whatever we’re lacking (목), what we need (목), 접속사인 의문사는 목적을 대신하는 대명사 역할

* 보어인 형역 현분사 lacking ; having none or not enough of something 부족한 상태

* 주의 1; 준동사인 lacking은 형용사 역할이지만 동사적 특성상 목적을 가짐 ;  lacking whatever

* 주의 2 ; are lacking은 진행형 구조와 같지만 의미상 진행동작이 아니고 주어가 부족한 능동적 상태를 설명함

* 비교 ; be+형역 과분사 whatever is lacked로 쓰면 주어 whatever가 lacked 부족된 수동상태를 설명하는 구조가 됨

* 주의 3; 형역 현분사는 능동상태, 형역 과분사는 수동상태 설명이므로 구별이 필요함

   You are boring. 지루함을 능동적으로 야기하는 상태 즉 지루한 사람  You are bored. 지루함을 당한 상태 즉 지루해짐

* 목적인 부정사구 [to help His children],  [to see us living in peace],

* 목보인 원형 부정사구 (to) ask Him for what we need. (사역동사의 목보로는 원형 부정사구가 쓰임)

* 보어인 부정사구  (to) follow [God’s leading] (부정사 to가 생략되어 쓰임)

* 주어인 명사구 all (that) we have to do (목),  대명사+형절/목적격 관대절, all=that=(목) 

* 동명사인 leading, 목보인 형역 현분사구  living in peace

* 존재를 설명하는 관용어 there is/are ~이 존재하다

* 1 형식 be+보어 ; are lacking whatever,  is (to) follow God’s leading. 

* 2 형식 There are so many gifts~ (are는 존재하다는 자동사로 분류하고 so many gifts~는 주어임)

* 3 형식 Join [Pastor Jim Cymbala],  ask [God our Father], loves [to help His children], need [more grace], 

  (to) follow [God’s leading], have to do [all], need [what], wants [to see us living in peace]
