<Talk about how credit cards are used by people>

When you use your credit card in Korea, you can decide how the pay off each purchase. You can either choose immediate payment or installment plan. Of course, you have to pay interest if you decide to pay in installments. Also, some credit cards offer minimum payment plans. Card holders can pay a small portion of their credit card bill and pay off the remaining portion in the following month. This helps customers make their payments without hurting their credit. Korean credit cards commonly have cash back services. Users can get a small portion of their spending back in points. They can use those points to get discounts at various places.

Pay off : 대출을 갚거나 할 때 쓰는 표현, 먼저 빌리고 상환하는 것.

I paid off my loan. 나 빚 다 갚았어.  

Immediate payment : 일시불

Installment [인스떨 먼]: 할부 4 months installment plan : 4개월 할부

Pay interests : 이자를 내다.

In : ~로 라는 뜻임

The following month : 다음 달

Portion : 부분

I save my small portion of my income. 나는 내가 버는 돈의 일부를 저금한다.

* pay off : 상환하다.

I have to pay off a loan until next month.

How long did it take you to pay off your mortgage?

Mortgage : 주택담보대출

 * immediate payments : 일시불 결제

Some people prefer to only use immediate payment.

I think immediate payments is better.

* pay in installments: 할부로 결제하다.

Can I pay for that in installments?

I’m paying for my car payment in installments.

*make one’s credit : 결제하다. (make 동사를 같이 쓴다.)

I don’t want to be late making my payment.

You can make your payment in several different ways.

*a small portion of ~ : ~의 작은 일부분

It’s a small portion of investment.
