[kb8/24]

마지막으로 센터 탑10을 발표했네요.

2008년 랭킹때 들어간 10명이 전부 다 들어간 가장 큰 차이가 없는 랭킹입니다.

1위부터 6위까진 똑같고 7위부터 10위는 순위만 좀 바뀌었네요.

당시 순위가 아래 존하블리첵님이 올려주신 것처럼

샤크급 벌크에 저런 데피라면 100프로 약물이라고 봅니다만 제독의 벌크를 봤을때 약물급 까지는 아닐듯. 제독은 엄청 늘씬한 스타일입니다. 체중도 신장에 비해 적게나가고요.근질이 타고난 사람들이 간혹 있는데 제독은 딱 그 수준입니다.

제독은 데뷔 당시에 240파운드도 안 나갔습니다. 후반기에 250까지 올린 것도 벌크업한 거죠. 기본적으로 농구선수들이 비슷한 키의 다른 프로선수들보다 훨씬 슬림한데 로빈슨은 그 중에서도 슬림한 편입니다. 저건 근육을 키웠다기보다는 지방량이 매우 적은 거죠. 백프로 안 썼는지는 누구도 장담할 수 없겠지만, "근육을 키우기 위한" 약물은 아니라고 봅니다.

그 당시가 아니라 유잉옹은 데뷔할때부터 제 상태가 아닌 무릎으로 들어왔던 걸로 알고 있습니다. 물론 99년 트윈테러때도 유잉옹은 있으나 마나기도 했구요.

제독도 전성기 때 던컨이 들어온 건 아니었지만 아직 올스타급 기량을 유지하고 있을 때 던컨과 콤비를 이뤘죠. 제독은 유잉보다 두 살이 어리고 데뷔는 4년이나 느립니다. 우승하던 99년은 물론 01년까지 올 NBA팀급 기량을 유지했고요. 반면 유잉은 97년에 세컨팀에 올랐지만 98년에 커리어 마감급 부상을 당하면서 실력이 엄청나게 줄어버립니다. 물론 그는 데뷔 당시부터 무릎이 제 상태가 아니었지만 88~97시즌까지 10년동안 20경기를 결장할 정도로 꾸준히 뛰어줬는데, 이때 56경기나 결장하고 은퇴설이 유력하게 돌 정도였습니다. 올스타급 실력을 유지할 때 거의 MVP급 동료를 맞이한 제독과는 상황이 매우 다릅니다.

이미 데뷔부터 무릎이 상당히 안 좋았죠. 하지만 트윈테러가 결성될때는 아예 경기를 못 뛸정도 었다는 것이 포인트입니다.

빌 월튼도 아예 납득 못할 선수는 아니니 센터 포지션은 꽤 합리적으로 선정된 거 같습니다. 한편으론 센터라는 자리는 정말 농구의 클래식(?)이자 고정불변의 진리인 것 같습니다.
