The triangle relationship between sin, the law, and me (Romans 7:7-10)
The Bible only says that because in Christ the law of sin and death cannot be exercised , we have escaped from the law and gained freedom in the truth, not one jot or tittle can pass away from the law until heaven and earth pass away. (Matthew 5:18)
However, those who know the fact that heaven and earth have changed know the secret of fulfilling the requirements of the law in Christ, so they obtain righteousness other than the law, and that righteousness leads to faith through faith, and finally they reach the fulfillment of the law of loving God and loving neighbors.
When we reach this level of faith, we always stare and look up to the Lord who sits on the throne like David. (Matthew 22:41-46)
Peter grasps the degree of perfection of faith and explains the purpose of the coming of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:14-36), and Paul writes the book of Romans according to Paul.
Therefore, if you want to know the original church of the bible , serve Jesus Christ as your Savior with that church view, and pray earnestly for the name of the Lord to be saved in all circumstances, you must get rid of the prejudice that we are the Korean church.
This is because the present Korean church has deviated far from the original church of the bible.
Q. Because there is the law, sin is revealed, so isn't the law the problem?
“What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, You shall not covet” (Romans 7:7)
A. If you do it wrong, you can use that logic.
Because there is the law, there is sin, and because there is sin, a sense of guilt arises, so we can say, let’s get rid of the law, right?
It would be good because without the law, sin would not be established.
Human beings have a sinful nature that when they look at their own ugly face in the mirror, they do not try to fix their ugly face and instead try to throw the mirror away.
However, if the law does not point out that we are covetous, we live without knowing that we are covetous.
No matter how far we go in Christ, the law follows and points us out until we fulfill its demand, love.
Who else but the law can teach me that there are gods other than God?
Even if I am filled with something else within me, I realize it through the law and change my mind by saying, ‘This is not right. I must love God according to the truth that the Lord has taught me.’
However, when people do things wrong, they can glorify greed as motivation.
A very admirable view of the motivation for faith leads to idolatry.
This is especially true for secular churches in a materialistic society where more is better.
However, Galatians 5:24 says "they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts."
For those who have found freedom in Christ, there is no way to prohibit such a law (Galatians 5:23)
Because the Lord died on the cross and was raised again, he did that for us.
However, when a person's greed dies, he or she becomes like a corpse.
A person lose strength and feel lost.
This gap, the mid-scandal, is scary.
Therefore, after being born again, you must immediately seek the Holy Spirit.
Or seven demons come in you and attack in you.
Idolatry is not just about serving what you can see; it is idolatry when it pulls your heart and makes you love it more than God.
And not being able to give up yourself before God and always embracing yourself is also an idol.
So, they say that the idol you see is a low-level idol, the one that guides your mind is a middle-level idol, and your ego is the highest idol, right?
When you go through hardships, you quickly let go of things you see or your desires, but your ego lasts a very long time.
How would we discover these things without the law?
By the law, I realize that I love myself more than God.
Because there is a law, this sin is discovered.
That is why the law is beneficial like an X-ray.
When the church does something wrong, there are many cases where it is thought that what is done motivation is done by faith.
People who lead a religious life out of greed become stupid when the word of God enters their lives.
Look at nature. There is no greed in nature.
All things in nature move according to basic needs.
The animal world has no greed, so they eat only as much as they want.
They sleep when they are full.
The lions are roaring, but there is no gym. There are no cases of fraud or embezzlement.
It's okay as long as they're full.
It is a greed that only humans born with sin and death in Adam have.
How would you know this without the law?
That is why it is said that the law is beneficial.
So, “But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, worked out in me all kinds of greed, for without the law sin is dead.” (Romans 7:8)
It means that sin motivates me.
For example, when someone was giving testimony and went to a revival meeting, they said, 'If you donate 5 million won, it will be multiplied 100 times to 500 million won.'
This is something that arouses greed.
Sin which is hidden get shocked by this kind of instigation and then revives.
When the grandfather goes out, he tells his grandchildren, kids, don't eat the persimmons on the shelf. From then on, they start drooling with the desire to eat persimmons.
It's okay if they don't know.
That's why we shouldn't teach them things like sex education.
Even if you don't teach them, they know it automatically.
The reason the law came into human beings was to create perfect sinners.
Look at this, aren’t you this kind of person? Isn’t it hopeless? This is the role of the law.
It only means to raise your hands and surrender through baptism according to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, but it does not mean to keep all the provisions of the law by arousing greed.
Q. What is my state before and after understanding the law?
“For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.” (Romans 7:9)
A. I lived when I did not know the law. I don't know the horror of sin.
But when the commandment came in, sin began to work in me.
The sin within me pretends to be dead and then comes back to life.
And I die and only sin revived.
What this means is that I thought I was good at what I was doing with zeal, but it turned out that I was doing what the law taught me.
Although people have a lot of zeal, it turns out that their zeal is not what I did as a born again person, but because it was the greed within me that made me do that.
I didn't know it was a sin, but now I know.
So, “And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.” (Romans 7:10)
This means that the commandment that was supposed to lead me to life led me to death.
This means that the law has revealed myself as leading to death.
Christians must have understanding.
The peace that surpasses understanding comes.
When light enters us in Christ, our first understanding arises.
The look in your eyes changes.
The perspective of day and night changes.
That's why you must have understanding.
I, who only knew good and evil, now realize the boundaries between light and darkness, life and death.
The law is what makes us realize our sins, but if we keep the law, that causes us to become greedy, we become greedy, and the law ultimately lead us to death.
It is the understanding that we are these beings.
It was told that the law was good, but in the end I learned that it was sending me to death.
Therefore, I, sin, and the commandment are always in a triangular relationship.
If I go into sin, the commandment condemns me and kills me.
When I go to sin, the law rushes in and considers it a sin, and on the other hand, when I run to keep the law, sin stirs up within me and causes me to die.
We do that over and over again.
So, the sinner in Adam dies either by sin or by the law.
The flesh is unconditionally an enemy of God.
If you do well, you become God's enemy, and if you do poorly, you become God's enemy.
When the body goes into sin, the law joins in and we are found to be under death, making us think that we are dead.
Also, the law comes in and says we should not commit sins and live according to the law, but when greed instigates us and pushes us to work hard, we become even more ruined.
So, isn't it true that Jesus said to the rich young man who said he had kept all the laws, 'Sell all your possessions and give to the poor and follow me', and he became sad and left?
It's like trying to obey God's words while failing to love your neighbor as yourself.
Therefore, the human body that has not been born again through Christ's death of cross and resurrection must not be in sin and must not receive the law and be zealous on the spot.
Paul is giving a detailed explanation based on the premise that he has died to the law and is now under the law of the Spirit of life in Christ.
