The Avatamsaka Sutra, The Ten Abodes (십주품 24-5)

[眞如華]

     24-5.

     不可思議諸國土      盡抹爲塵無遺者

     欲悉分別知其數      菩薩以此初發心

     불가사의한 모든 국토를

     모두 다 부수어서 티끌을 만들고

     그 수효를 낱낱이 세어 다 알고자

     보살이 이를 위해 처음으로 발심하였네.

Reducing entirely to dust

Inconceivable numbers of worlds,

Wanting to know distinctly the number of particles

Do enlightening beings arouse their will.

Inconceivable; 불가사의한

numbers of worlds; 모든 국토를

Reducing entirely; 모두 다 부수어서

to dust; 티끌을 만들고

Wanting to know distinctly

; 다 알고자

the number of particles

; 그 수효를 낱낱이 세어

Do ~ arouse their will

; 이를 위해 처음으로 발심하였네

enlightening beings; 보살이
