사람들이 전 세계 도시에서 새해를 맞이한다.

🐎🐴2026년 병오년(丙午年) 새해가 밝았다. 2026년은 병오년(丙午年)으로 육십간지에서 ‘붉은 말’을 뜻한다. 또한 천간의 세 번째인 병(丙)은 불을 상징하고, 지간의 일곱째인 오(午) 또한 불의 속성을 지닌다. 이에 민속학에선 병오년에 대해 큰 변화가 찾아올 시기로 규정하고 있다. 민속학에서는 병오년을 ‘붉은 말의 해’, 혹은 ‘불의 기운이 극대화되는 해’로 부른다. 불과 불이 만나기 때문으로 전통적으로 병오년은 문명·생명·변혁의 상징이자 동시에 파괴·전쟁·재앙의 부정적 의미도 담은 해로 여겨진다. 그렇기에 민간에서는 병오년에 대해 “큰 변화가 오기 쉬운 해”, “질서가 흔들리는 해”로 해석하기도 한다.
