Ed and Dick are talking in the office. 
(에드와 딕이 사무실에서 대화하고 있다.)

Ed: When are you going to tell the boss about your idea?
에드: 네 아이디어는 상사에게 언제 말할 거야?

Dick: I don't know. Maybe I won't tell him.
딕: 모르겠어. 얘기 안 할 지도 몰라.

Ed: You're out of your mind. Why are you so nervous?
에드: 제 정신이 아니구나. 왜 그렇게 자신 없어?

Dick: I'm laying my job on the line and that makes me nervous.
딕: 직장을 잃을 수도 있으니까 신경이 쓰이는 거야.

Ed: But your idea could save the company thousands of dollars every month.
에드: 하지만 네 제안대로라면 회사 경비를 매달 수천 달러 절감할 수도 있어.

Dick: I'll be criticizing the boss' idea and I'm not sure he'll be happy about that.
딕: 나는 상사의 아이디어를 비판하게 될텐데 상사가 그걸 흔쾌히 받아들일지 확신이 없어.

Ed: I know your idea will work. You've got to talk to him!
에드: 네 제안이 먹힐 거야. 상사한테 말해야 돼!

Dick: You're really behind me on this, aren't you?
딕: 넌 이번 안건에 대해 확실히 날 미는 거지, 그렇지?

Ed: Absolutely! Don't be afraid to speak your mind.
에드: 물론이지! 겁내지 말고 솔직히 얘기해.

Dick: OK. I'll do it today. Thanks for your support.
딕: 알았어. 오늘 얘기할게. 지지해줘서 고마워.


[기억할만한 표현]
▶ out of (one’s) mind: 제 정신이 아니다.
“You’d be out of your mind to sell your house now.” 
(지금 집을 팔다니 정신이 없는 것 같군요.)

▶ be behind (someone): (누구) 편이다.
“He’s successful because his wife has always been behind him.” 
(그가 성공한 데는 늘 부인의 내조가 있었습니다.)

▶ speak your mind: 솔직히 말하다
“Speaking your mind is usually a good idea.” 
(솔직히 말하는 게 보통 좋은 거예요.)
