Choosing a career path is one of the biggest life decisions young people face. As someone who dreams of entering a media department, my role model has always been the world-famous director, Bong Joon-ho. While many people admire him for his Oscars, I admire him because he uses film as a powerful tool to speak his truth.
From a young age, Bong was enthusiastic about drawing and observing society. However, his journey was not always a smooth one. Like some of the role models we read about, he faced many challenges before his talent was recognized. Instead of being discouraged by these obstacles, he viewed them as minor issues and continued to work on his craft. This kind of persistence is a quality I really want to learn.
What fascinates me most about him is his extreme attention to detail, often called "Bong-tail." This reflects his professional character of being dedicated to every single frame. He proved that media is not just for entertainment; it can make a profound impact on how people perceive the world.
His life story has provided me with the guidance and sense of purpose I need for my own career exploration. Even if I encounter difficulties while studying media, I will not allow them to discourage me. Instead, I will find another way to move forward, just as he did. If I am fortunate, my passion will lead me to a rewarding career in the future.
