0721 The Real Truth | 2 Timothy 3:6–7 | Pastor Jim Cymbala

When the noise of the world threatens [to wash out the truth of Jesus],

we must seek [God] /for the discernment /to see clearly.

* 목적인 부정사구  to wash out [the truth of Jesus], 

* 타동사구  wash out ① 물로 씻어 내다 ② 씻어 내듯 없애다 ③  중단하게/못하게 하다

* 부역전구 /for the discernment 

* 부역 부정사구  /to see clearly. (앞 명사 수식인 형역으로 볼 수도 있지만 의도설명이 적당하다 봄)

 동사수식 seek /to see clearly (O),  명사수식 the discernment /to see clearly (X) (명사를 한정할 이유가 없다 봄)

* 주의 ; 명사수식인 형역 부정사는 그 명사가 부정사의 목적인 경우 아니면 명사의 내용설명으로 됨

  tools /to use=to use [tools],  a book to study=to study a book,  the ball to kick=kick the ball 차야할 공 (용도설명) 

 a way /to improve her writing 개선할 방법, the strength /to resist. 저항할 힘 (용도/내용설명)

* 부정사구의 3 역할 ; 명사, 형용사, 부사 역할

1. 명사역할 ; 주어, 보어, 목적, 목보 역할

To wait seemed foolish when decisive action was required. (subject) 
Everyone wanted to go. (direct object) 

I want you to go. (object complement)
His ambition is to fly. (nominal subject complement) 

It is useful [to write down all the required information]. It's hard [to study],  가주어/진주어

Make it a goal to improve your public speaking skills. 가목적/진목적
2. 형용사 역할; 명사의 용도나 내용설명 (부정사구는 명사구의 일부가 됨)

He lacked [the strength /to resist]. (adjectival) 
3. 부사역할;  동작의 의도설명인 부사적 역할 또는 형용사의 내용설명으로 형용사구의 일부가 됨

We must study /to learn. I came /to see my niece. (동작의 의도설명),

I'm happy to see you, You're hard to deal with. (형용사의 내용/이유설명)

6 They are the kind //who worm their way /into homes and gain [control /over gullible women],

 who are loaded down /with sins and are swayed /by all kinds of evil desires, 

7 always learning but never able to come /to a knowledge of the truth.

New Living Translation
6 They are the kind //who work [their way] /into people’s homes and win the confidence of vulnerable women

//who are burdened /with the guilt of sin and controlled /by various desires.

7 (Such women are forever following [new teachings], but they are never able to understand the truth.)
