14 But as for you, continue /in what you have learned and have become convinced of,

because you know [those from whom you learned it],

15 and [how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures],

which are able to make [you] [wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus].

* 전목인 의문사절 what you have learned (목) and have become convinced of (전목), 

   종속절 접속사인 의문사는 각 절에서 생략된 목적과 전목 역할을 대신하는 대명사 역할도 겸함

* 완료시제 have/has+pp ; have learned and have become 과거에 한 동작의 영향이 현재까지 미친다는 의미

* know의 목적인 명사구  [those /from whom you learned it], 대명사+형역전구

* 형역전구 /from whom you learned it 전치사+의문사절/명사절 (whom=those)

  /from whom you learned it 그걸 배운 그들로부터 => you learned it /from whom=those 그들로부터 그걸 배웠다

* know의 목적인 의문사절명사절 [how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures],  성경을 알았던 그 방법

* 숙어 be able to+동사 = can

* be able to+동사 vs can

1. be able to+동사는 동사구이나  can은 능력을 의미하는 조동사이므로 동사가 필요함 be able to run vs can run

2. be able to+동사는 be를 과거, 현재, 미래로 활용할 수 있으나 can은 과거형 could만 있고 가정법과 혼동될 수 있음

3. Can은 내재적인 능력. Could는 과거의 능력, 공손한 표현, 또는 가정법에 쓰임 ; I could have come, if I had time.

4. Be able to는 특정한 상황에서 능력이나 미래/격식 표현 (can은 미래형이 없으므로 will be able to~로 씀)

* 5 형식 make [you] [wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus]. 목적이 목보되게 동사하다

New Living Translation
14 But you must remain faithful to the things () you have been taught.

You know  () they are true, for you know () you can trust [those //who taught you].

15 You have been taught [the holy Scriptures] /from childhood,

and they have given [you] [the wisdom /to receive the salvation //that comes /by trusting in Christ Jesus].

* 불자 remain의 보어인 형용사구 faithful /to the things (that) you have been taught. 형+부역전구+형절

* 완료시제+수동태 have+been+pp ; have been taught. (been은 수동태 구조인 be+pp에서 be의 과거분사형)

* know의 목적인 명사절 (that) they are true,  (that) you can trust [those //who taught you].

* trust의 목적인 명사구 [those //who taught you]. 대명사+형절/주격 관대절

* 4 형식 능동태  they have taught [you] [the holy Scriptures]. 

* 4 형식 given [you] [the wisdom /to receive the salvation //that comes /by trusting in Christ Jesus].
