프로메테우스(Prometheus) <IMG id=A_253F9C36537C4E6A11042A class=txc-image style="CURSOR: pointer; WIDTH: 764px; FLOAT: none; CLEAR: none" border=0 hspace=1 vspace=1 src="https://t1.daumcdn.net/cfile/blog/253F9C36537C4E6A11" width=769 exif="{}" actualwidth="769" isset="true" id="A_253F9C36537C4E6A11042A"/> Prometheus depicted in a sculpture by <A title="Nicolas-Sébastien Adam" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicolas-S%C3%A9bastien_Adam" target=_blank>Nicolas-Sébastien Adam</A>, 1762 (<A title=Louvre class=mw-redirect href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louvre" target=_blank>Louvre</A>)   (출처- <A href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prometheus" target=_blank>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prometheus</A>)   그리스 로마 신화에서는 인간을 만든 것이 티탄인 프로메테우스이다. 프로메테우스는 인간을 위해 태양수레에서 불을 훔쳐다 준다. 이에 노한 제우스는 그를 바위에 사슬로 묶어 독수리에게 살을 쪼아먹히는 형벌을 내린다. 물어띁긴 그 살은 새로 돋아나도록 되어있어 그 형벌은 영원할 것처럼 보인다. 하지만 그는 굴복하지 않는다.  프로메테우스는 자신과의 구원에도 관련이 될 예언 한가지를 알고 있었다. 바로 여신 중 한 명이 낳을 자식이 아버지보다 위대할 것이라는 예언이다. 언제가 제우스는 그 여신을 건드리게 될 것이고 제우스보다 강한 자식이 태어나게 되면 제우스의 입장에서 보자면 뜨끔한 일이 아닐 수 없다. 그 여신이 누구인지를 알 수 있는 이는 프로메테우스 한 사람밖에 없었다. 결국 제우스는 프로메테우스와 타협을 한다. 프로메테우스는 그 여신이 테티스임을 알려준다. 후에 그의 사슬을 끊고 그를 해방 시킨 자는 헤라클레스이지만 그 역시 제우스가 허락한 일이기에 가능했다.   <IMG id=A_2632153B537C4E9B17226C class=txc-image style="CURSOR: pointer;
