As we enter Romans 8
The important point in Romans 7 is to identify sin, which is an internal problem within us.
Romans 6 declares that we should consider ourselves dead to sin but alive to God (Romans 6:11).
But even with such a confession, why is it not presented to the Lord as a instruments of righteousness?
Why aren’t our existence and lives devoted to the Lord?
From time to time, we confess that even if we live, we live for the Lord, and now even if we die, we die for the Lord, why can't we do that?
In fact, it's not that I can't do it, it's that I can't do it because of the sin within me.
Romans 7 is there so that you can understand that.
God's creation begins within us.
That's why you shouldn't take issue with someone's actions that appear outside.
No matter how much you scold, it won't work.
Unless something changes inside a person, it will never work out.
No matter how much the law states and tells us not to do, humans cannot obey.
It is Judaism to insist that he can do it.
And it is a modern-day Jewish christianity.
And John Dewey's educational theory is an education that believes that people change when taught.
This is the reason why only the mouth listens and the body does not listen even if disciple training is provided through an educational method.
God says it cannot be done, but humans insist that it can be done.
The Bible is nature education through the Lord, who carries out heavenly work by having the Holy Spirit come in and lead us to God the Father according to the truth, based on Christ's work on earth.
The people who are currently struggling to keep the law are modern-day Jews.
For such people, the only spiritual events are signs that can be confirmed with their eyes.
Unfortunately, there are too many churches of this type in Korea.
So the Jews constantly ask Jesus to show them a sign.
The intention is for them to see and believe, not to hear and believe.
“Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.” (Romans 6:6)
In other words, the sinful mindset and concept of sin must be destroyed within us.
In fact, before Adam and Eve sinned, they had no concept of good and evil, so they were naked and had no sense of shame. (Genesis 2:25)
Even today, people who harshly criticize others and are thorough in the debate between good and evil are full of the concept of sin.
No one since Adam has been conscious of sin and has overcome sin.
Only in Christ can one overcome sin by dying to sin and having nothing to do with sin.
We can never overcome sin if we have sinful thoughts and concepts within us.
A me other than the me who is with me inside me and moves me and drags me into sin,
Think about what benefit it would be for these two to be saved together.
If you receive grace, you receive it together, and if you receive blessings, you receive it together, but if you are secretly dragged away again, what good is it?
However, the people in the current church always receive grace together with me, worship together, and receive the word together with me, who should be abandoned.
Then, when ‘sin drags us away,’ we follow sin.
That is the appearance of human beings who became flesh after the Holy Spirit left after Adam sinned and fell.
So no matter how hard you try, it won’t work in the end.
This sin always ruins things.
It may seem like I received grace, I worshiped, I received the Word, I prayed, and I made decisions, but in reality, in Paul’s eyes, I was not alone.
We always think of ourselves as me.
That is why it does not appear through actions.
No matter how many times you experience grace, it won’t work.
In the end, the other self within me, that is, sin, wins.
Romans 8 is valuable because it clearly solves this problem.
Therefore, Romans 8 can be seen as a message about the completion of personal salvation.
Therefore, we must work to separate ourselves from the other self within us.
If you continue to listen to the words of Christ, the standard for breaking away from your old self will be established within you.
Therefore, you should not be like swatting away flies all day while facing poop.
You must accept the atonement merit of Christ's cross, confirm your belonging, and then drive sin out by saying, ‘I am a new creation in Christ.’
However, many people do not know this salvation.
So, it looks like it goes up and down like riding a merry-go-round, but it is always in the same orbit.
We whine like turning a millstone to keep the Word, but we remain stagnant for the rest of our lives.
