Max liked the dragon shirt, but he was rejected by Ruby.

But while Ruby was changing, Max was pecking at the dragon shirt.
While Ruby was trying on clothes, Max was chasing after the dragon shirt.

But Ruby couldn't find where Max was.
Ruby couldn’t find where Max had gone.

Then the two met.
Ruby was picking out Max's clothes, but Max smeared spilled chocolate ice cream on his dragon shirt, so they ended up buying it.
