0804 Scripture Is God-Breathed | 2 Timothy 3:16–17 | Pastor Jim Cymbala

The Word of God is our foundation, and we can neither add /to nor take away from it.

* 보어인 형역 과분사 God-Breathed (하이픈을 사용하여 두 단어를 한 단어로 만듦)

* 부정어로 쓰인 부사 Neither ; not one and not the other of two things or people. 이것도 저것도 아닌

  It functions as a determiner 한정사, pronoun 대명사, or adverb (also not) 부사로 쓰임

한정사 Neither answer is correct.

부사 I don't like it. Me neither.

대명사 Neither of those answers are correct. We've got two TVs, but neither works properly.

* add /to (it) nor take away /from it.  

* 동사구 take away ; remove something

17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped /for every good work.

16 All Scripture is inspired /by God

and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. 

It corrects us /when we are wrong and teaches [us] [to do what is right]. 

17 God uses [it] /to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

* Scripture는 여러 권으로 된 경전이지만 한 권 의미로 단수로 쓰나 복수로도 씀 ; Scriptures  

* 대명사 it = All Scripture (복수였다면 they로 써야 함)

* 수동태 be+pp ;  is inspired

* 주의 ; 수동태와 수동상태 설명인 형역 과분사의 차이점

수동태는 주어가 동작을 당한다는 표현이므로 확실한 동작자가 있으나 It is inspired /by God = God inspired it.

형역 과분사는 수동적 상태를 설명하므로 동작자가 없는데  I am tired. (어떤 이유로 피곤하게 된 상태이다)

문법에 맞는다고 수동태로 쓰면 어색함   I am tired by running 어색함.  I am tired from running. (자연스러움)

* 보어인 형용사구 useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. 

* 4 형식 to teach [us] [what is true],  teaches [us] [to do what is right]  간목에게 직목을 동사하다

* 5 형식 to make [us] [realize what is wrong in our lives] 목적이 목보하게 동사하다

* 목보인 원형 부정사구 (to) realize what is wrong in our lives. (사역동사의 목보로는 to 없는 부정사가 쓰임)

* realize의 목적인 의문사절 what is wrong in our lives. 

* 부역 부정사구 /to prepare and equip his people /to do every good work.

* 5 형식 /to prepare and equip [his people] [to do every good work]  목적이 목보하게 동사하다

* 주의 ; 5 형식이 안 되는 이유 uses [it] [to prepare] 목적인 it가 목보의 동작을 하는 주체가 아니고 주어가 주체이기에

           부정사 to prepare는 주어의 의도를 설명하는 부역 부정사구가 됨 ; 준비하기 위하여 그것을 사용한다
