진달래꽃 한 송이를 기다리는 마음

Waiting for an azalea in spring

연보라 빛 진달래 한 송이가 눈에 선하여

봄이 가까이 오는 소리 들리는 듯한데

Violet color's azalea comes into being in vision,

So the sound of spring's approach seems being heard

왜 이다지도 마음이 설레이는지 돌아보니

아직도 저 한켠 모둥이에 그리움이 있구나

Why my heart is pounding like this as like a young one, I considered that a longing is alive at the corner of the mind's room

마음을 흔들어 주는 애틋함이라면 가만히  

물결치는 강물을 바라보듯이 하고 싶다 

If you wish longingly someone with touching heart, 

You're just going to look o'er the rippling river quietly

사무치는 파도가 언제나 잔잔하길 바란다면

흰 눈 반짝이는 설원(雪原)을 걸어도 좋으련만

If you anticipate the jumping wave being gentle,

You might imagine walking the glittering field of white snow.

겨울은 못내 아쉬워 떠나고 먼 산 너머로 들려오는

진달래꽃 피는 소리가 잠자던 연한 마음을 깨우리

Winter is leaving our city missing you and me,

The sound of blooming of azalea being heard from over the hills will awake your sleeping soft emotions.
