Meet our sporty teacher, Mr Mckenzie Yap, a REAL School Cheras alumnus himself who remembered how much he enjoyed being at school because of the great teachers he had who inspired a love of learning and created an environment where he felt important and cared for, leaving a lasting impression that inspired him to want to have that impact on the students he teaches.

Mr Mckenzie Yap has 5 years of teaching and student development experience at an international and private school where he was the dodge ball coach, assistant basketball coach, and CCA Coordinator.

In recent years, he has worked steadily to develop students into athletes who went on to win bronze in the Mixed Division at the Dodgeball World Cup in 2019. He teaches Physical Education and Robotic Technology at REAL National Secondary School, where he aspires to help students develop through sports and fitness.

Mr Mckenzie Yap joined REAL School this year and hopes to be as dedicated as his teachers were when he was a student there. He also enjoys the school environment and anticipates that it will continue to grow.
