<p>Verse 8 offers another definition of hypocrites. While elders consider tradition as something akin to law, Jesus does not. Hence, he used commandments as an example. People interpret the law as they wish, calling it tradition, and making it a community law. That's why Jesus eventually overturns it. Jesus still does this to us today and never compromises.</p><p> </p><p>Therefore, when studying the Bible, faith must also grow alongside.
